Thanes voice sounded and the drapes of the tent parted allowing him to enter gracefully.
Upon hearing his voice, the cohorts gaze panned towards him questioningly. The siege on the horde surrounding the gate was massively successful, all of the beasts had been slaughtered and none were allowed to leave.
In their company, thane received the most benefits, as he was the only person aside from dorn to actually kill one of the mythic beasts.
It had taken up by an entire level placing him firmly at the peak of yellow that is he was now a level 9 slayers.
He was only a step away from becoming Red.
"Hehehe, we need to talk guys...enough rest come over" walking to the middle of the tent, where Victoria laid flat on her back, Thane proceeded to cross his legs and sat on the floor.
"Ahhh, so annoying" Victoria groaned, then eventually stood up and mirrored his sitting style.
Seeing this, the other members of the cohort followed suit all sitting in a tight circle in the middle of the tent.
"So, the main things have been finalized, by morning the fortifications will be finalized and the shelters main guard will be posted here to keep watch along side the wayfarer beast lord nightmare"

It woukd be a big misfortune if after clearing the gates, they found them faced against another horde of monsters after leaving. So the shelter had assigned 200 shelter guards to accompany the caravan so as to hold the gate for as long as they needed to.

They all nodded it made sense.
"As soon as we are done everyone will step through the gates simultaneously, there won't be any delays. Immediately after, the Blacksteel family members will depart from the main group and venture to find the source of the gate, The hollow beast"
The Blacksteel family was well aware of how vicious the competition the top families were, they would do almost anything to get the upper hand over everyone else. Immediately after the Blacksteel family leaves everyone would go their separate ways.
Each trying to grow stronger than the other in other to reap the most benefits. They wouldn't even mind killing each other if the benefits was enough, after all this was a lawless land.
this would be especially bad for those who refuse to conform to their rules. I.e the independent slayers.

"There are five clans that in general might seek you out, two of them being the blackberry family and the ironback family for obvious reasons, they are dangerous and to an extent hard to overcome...but Im confident you will.
However, the other three....they are much more worrying"

These were the top families in the entire shelter, the one ironback a just had a talented generation pushing them to the forefront, but these guys were real threats.
While others would go after Victoria cohort because grudges, they would do so because they didn't want anyone to act without their permission.
