Otherworldly Desert Dust

Chapter 77 - 72 River Girl Leader

Chapter 77 - 72 River Girl Leader

...

A ray of sunlight fell on his cheek.

Wu Hen had just opened his eyes and instinctively used his hand to block the light.

After his pupils adjusted to the somewhat piercing light around him, Wu Hen began to look around.

He first looked up at the sky...

Only to be shocked to find that the mountains were hanging upside down from the sky!!

The undulating ridges and peaks rose from above like stalactites in a cave, growing downward toward the earth. Some majestic hanging mountains even connected with the high mountains on the ground, forming the Heavenly Pillar Mountain that directly pierced the sky and earth!

As he looked at the earth, the sight was indescribable. There were massive rivers, but they did not flow on the ground like at home. Some snaked like dragons, flowing along the incredible hanging mountains and mountain veins in mid-air. Others flowed like the Milky Way, losing gravity and pouring into the celestial mountains. Even more astonishingly, some rivers broke into countless segments within a region yet still flowed continuously...

Most unbelievably, the space between heaven and earth was not vast and empty but filled with ancient forests, misty lakes, deep ravines, and exotic mineral canyons!

These natural landscapes, which should have been on the ground, were instead dynamically floating between the so-called heaven and earth like an asteroid belt in space.

The scene was so astonishing that it left a lasting impact on one’s heart!

Primitive, majestic, and grand, it exuded an ancient aura as if mythical beings once dwelled here—a legendary epoch recorded on bamboo slips yet unverified by historical accounts unfolded before his eyes...

And yet, it was a place full of scars, fractured lands, and disjointed planes.

Wu Hen stretched his muscles and started walking toward the waterfall, whose roaring sound was growing unmistakably clearer.

This host’s body wasn’t very frail, and its physique was quite strong, almost comparable to his own Second Rank physique when running.

Racing through the forest, Wu Hen was as swift as a cheetah, and the sound of the waterfall grew nearer and nearer.

"Did I awaken in the body of a Lost One with a Second Rank Physique?"

This physique was far superior to the thin dog he had awakened in back in Jueyin Town, Evil Soil City. Wu Hen couldn’t help but wonder if the higher his soul’s realm, the more likely he was to awaken in a stronger Lost One’s body...

Getting lost had nothing to do with spirit awakening or the strength of one’s abilities. Wandering the Desert Dust for too long would eventually contaminate one’s spirit, leading to being lost.

Upon reaching the waterfall,

Wu Hen noticed numerous exotic flowers blooming around. They bloomed like peach blossoms on treetops or hung delicately above the grass, much like moss-covered vines. They climbed and flourished densely along the ancient trees, growing into the shapes of trees and rocks. Even the water around the waterfall was filled with blooming flowers, much like water lilies spreading across a pristine, glassy surface.

"Why did you take so long to come back?" A gentle and charming voice called out then.

Wu Hen stood on the floral lichens covering the water’s edge. He heard someone talking softly to him from the gently flowing water.

He was momentarily dazed, but an inexplicable familiarity soon washed over him, as if this scene had replayed countless times in the past.

The water rippled softly, and a strand of black hair floated gracefully. A moment later, a flawless, pure face emerged between the floating tresses. Her eyes carried both the innocence of a girl and the allure of a woman, causing Wu Hen’s blood to surge, his nose hot and flushed.

Like a lotus rising from the water, elegant and noble, without a single thread of clothing, her sacred aura remained intact. Even calling her the Fairy of the peach blossom forest would not be an overstatement!
