Chapter 136 First Kiss

Chapter 136 First Kiss

'Why is she being...?'

Slowly, Celestia moved away from the door, showing a mix of nervous energy and lingering embarrassment in her steps.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

She pushed a lock of her curly golden hair back and let out a sigh, motioning for Aeric to sit down on the large soft-looking bed.

"Wanna sit?"

He said nothing and just said, taking in the details of the room for the first time.

It was spacious yet cozy, decorated in soft hues of gold and cream. The large canopy bed dominated the space, its frame specially designed with floral patterns.

There was a writing desk sitting by the window, sunlight streaming in and illuminating stacks of parchment and books. The smell of lavender had gotten more pronounced now.

"I'm sorry about my mother and my aunts," Celestia said suddenly, breaking the silence. She stood near the desk, fidgeting with a quill. "They can be... a lot sometimes."

Aeric, sitting closer to the window, leaned back against the window frame, a small smile tugging at his lips. "I don't think that you have to apologize. They were lovely. Friendly, even." He paused, chuckling softly. "Maybe they're a bit overwhelming, sure, but I've dealt with worse."

Celestia turned to face him, arms crossed, but her expression softened. "They don't mean any harm. They're just... like that. Especially Aunt Marlyene. I mean... she doesn't even have an off switch."

"Nah, it was fine. Apart from your mother, I especially liked her," Aeric said with a smile. "Besides, it's nice to see where you get it from."

She raised a sharp and questioning eyebrow, causing Aeric to quickly add, "The friendliness, I mean."

She rolled her eyes but giggled, the tension in her shoulders easing. "Hehehehe! Okay, Aeric. I'll let that one slide for today."

Smiling, Aeric's gaze wandered around the room again, and he gestured toward it. "Your room is incredible, by the way. Very... you."

"Very me?" she asked, tilting her head.

"Of course," Aeric said earnestly. "You're... important to me. I didn't want to leave things unresolved."

She bit her lip, her hands fidgeting in her lap. "I didn't know that it bothered you that much."

She lowered her gaze. "I'm sorry for being mad at you," she said quietly. "It's just... I wanted things to evolve, you know? And it felt like they wouldn't if I left it all you."

"Oh." Aeric tilted his head, his brow furrowing. "I didn't know you felt that way."

Celestia's face turned a deeper shade of pink, and she lifted her chin, looking at him nervously. Her voice was barely above a whisper. "I do."

Before he could process her words, Aeric saw her leaning in, and before he could do or say anything, her lips met his.

It happened in a flashing instant, but at the same time, the world seemed to slow. Aeric's mind blanked as her lips pressed softly against his. They were so warm, so soft, and even though they were hesitant, she was still deliberate.

For a moment, he was frozen, caught entirely off guard.

When she pulled back, her face was crimson, her eyes searching his for a reaction. "I— I'm sorry," she stammered, starting to pull away. Experience more on empire

But Aeric reached out, his hand gently brushing against hers. "Don't be."

He leaned in, closing the distance between them, and kissed her back. This time, it was slower, more assured. The faint scent of lavender and the warmth of the sunlight streaming through the window surrounded them, creating a cocoon of quiet intimacy.

When they finally broke apart, Celestia gazed at him, and he gazed at her back. Usually, kisses like this led to clothes being removed, and body parts being devoured.

But these two just stared at each other as though they were terrified of what they had just done. Celestia, especially, begged with her eyes for Aeric to say something.

His lips parted, "Uh...

"Can I use the bathroom?"
