Chapter 21 - Yu'er, You’ve Arrived at the Perfect Moment

Chapter 21: “Yu’er, You’ve Arrived at the Perfect Moment”

With a shout, Xiao Yu slapped his storage pouch again, summoning the Qinghong Immortal Sword. The sword shimmered as it split into thirty-two identical blades, forming a clockwise spinning sword wheel. Each blade radiated the fiery and unyielding aura of the Illusion Sword. This stood in stark contrast to the softness of the Void Sword.

“Hmm, not bad.”

Xiao Yu admired the two massive sword wheels, one spinning clockwise and the other counterclockwise. A satisfied smile spread across his face.

At his current level, controlling thirty-two Void Swords and thirty-two Illusion Swords was his limit. As his cultivation advanced, the number of swords he could control would only increase.

With a single gesture, Xiao Yu pointed at the hovering training puppet.

The air trembled as the two sword wheels shot forward.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The Void Sword Wheel and the Illusion Sword Wheel sliced through the air, striking the puppet simultaneously.

This puppet, forged from extraordinary materials, was designed to resemble a three-headed, six-armed demon. It had no offensive capabilities but boasted defences capable of withstanding the full-force strike of a mid-stage Golden Core cultivator—making it the ideal target for testing offensive power.

Boom!

The twin sword wheels struck the puppet, releasing a deafening explosion. If not for the protection of the Hongmeng Space, the sound would surely have alerted others outside.

Amid the reverberating echoes, the seemingly indestructible puppet was reduced to shattered fragments, its formidable frame torn asunder.

“Such power!”

The Iron Pillar disciple steadied himself and began his account,

“Beneath the frozen lake below our temple lies the Moon-Devouring Wolf Emperor, a thousand-year-old demon. It was sealed long ago by our third-generation temple master, with the Ice Lake Formation suppressing its power.”

“However, after centuries of wear, the formation has begun to weaken. On the night of the full moon, the demon’s strength will peak. If the seal fails, not only will our temple be destroyed, but countless innocent lives will be lost.”

Hansu Zhenren nodded slowly,

“I’ve heard of this wolf demon before. Its strength is formidable, but the Ice Lake Formation has kept it subdued for a millennium. I assume the formation is now in need of repair?”

“Exactly, Senior,” the disciple replied anxiously. “Our temple master has tried his best, but the formation’s complexity is beyond his ability. Without assistance, the consequences will be unimaginable.”

Hansu Zhenren mulled over the situation. While he possessed the ability to resolve the issue himself, such a minor matter hardly warranted his personal attention. The Tianyong Sect was brimming with talent; assigning a capable disciple would suffice.

Let me think... Who should I send? he mused.

Xiao Yu? Ling Yue? Ling Duan? Fuxu? Zhaolin?

Just as Hansu Zhenren was deliberating, a familiar voice called from outside the library,

“Xiao Yu greets Master.”

The blue-robed Xiao Yu stood at the entrance, his Qinghong Sword sheathed at his back and his storage pouch resting at his side. He bowed respectfully.

“Yu’er,” Hansu Zhenren said, his expression brightening.

“You’ve arrived at the perfect moment.”
