Ethan couldn’t hide his momentary shock at Lilith’s unexpected demand, made so suddenly in the middle of the day.

While he didn’t particularly mind undressing in front of her—since she was now, for all intents and purposes, his wife—there was still a time and place for these things.@@@@

Not only was the timing odd, but her insistence that he strip right here, in the dormitory space where both Eris and Isabel were also present, left him unsure of how to respond. As he was still processing her request, Lilith turned to Eris.

Ethan noted Isabel’s swift departure. As Lilith’s oldest friend, Isabel seemed to intuitively understand Lilith’s desires and quickly made herself scarce. With no one left around, Ethan’s excuses to escape had also vanished. Not that he’d particularly wanted to run in the first place.

Lilith’s odd behavior was something he was used to, and her openly showing her personal desires in this way was nothing new. He was fairly certain she had some other excuse in mind and was planning to use this as an opportunity to do something intimate with him.
