"We need to try again tonight."
The thought of that made Zuri's stomach roil. She remembered the sight of Queen Rimera; pale, weak, exhausted, and pregnant. Would she be like that one day? It felt like she was looking into the future. That would be her own future.@@@@
"Fine."
However, that was the only word that she could say. She was not raised to say 'no', her mother always said only if they appeased their man, they could have some sort of peace.
And it was their duty to give birth to an heir.
"Good." Xaden nodded, as if he had expected the answer. He then stood up and walked away, leaving Zuri alone.
The rest of the day, Zuri decided to focus on the little cub that was given to her. She asked Esther and Sarah to ask a carpenter to make a small box for it.
"Why don't we give him a name, Luna?" Esther asked. She caressed the cub's head, while Sarah was combing Zuri's hair.
Zuri glanced at the little cub that was sleeping. She would think about that later. She had never had a pet.
"All of you can leave," Zuri said, dismissing all of them.
"Do you want me to put on some makeup..."
"No need." Zuri cut Sarah off quickly. There was no need for the effort, because it would be over soon. She wanted the sex to be over soon. "You can leave. Bring the cub with you."
"Stop laughing!" He commanded, using his alpha's voice, which worked, but Zuri was still sniffling a little. She laughed so hard until she cried. "What's so funny?!" He demanded, because even he could see that she was laughing at him.
"You," Zuri blurted out. "You are so funny." She shook her head and then tilted her head to look at the harlot. "You are welcome to sleep with her, but not in my bed." She couldn't imagine sleeping on a bed that someone else had used. "You can leave and have fun in another room."
"You are not leaving, Zuri." Xaden grabbed her hand and pushed her onto a chair, which made her glare, but the alpha growled at her dangerously. "You are going to sit there and watch how it's done. I don't want to see that cold face again when we do it."
Zuri glowered at him, but the look in his eyes nailed her to the chair. He was the alpha and every inch of her body was trained to follow their rules. First, it was her father and now, her

Sitting on the chair, Zuri watched how the harlot took of Xaden's pants and then kissed his lips. She opened her eyes and stared at Zuri, who was watching them. Her eyes seemed to taunt her, as if saying she had won over the alpha.
Instead of being upset, Zuri simply rolled her eyes and leaned back, making herself comfortable, she didn't want to give her the satisfaction.
Taking off their dresses, they went to the bed and after that, Zuri didn't know what they did, she tuned out everything. She watched them, but saw nothing, as if she were looking through
them.
Good thing, she drank her medicine, so the noises in her head were not some intrusive thoughts.
On the bed, the two of them were tangled in each other's arms as Xaden took her from the front and the woman moaned so loud. Zuri thought Xaden was actually going to kill her or something, hearing the way she called his name.
However, ignoring the woman beneath him he was currently pounding, Xaden's eyes were actually glued to Zuri. He wanted to see her expression, what kind of emotion she had when she watched her own mate fuck another woman.
If there was one thing Xaden could see, it was that Zuri was actually bored out of her mind.
