First up was Inuoda Awa.

He wasn’t a very noticeable student, and I had never seen him assert himself. While he wasn’t at the very bottom of the class hierarchy like me, he was still near the bottom.

“Hold out your left hand and show me the back of it.”

Encouraged by the red-haired goddess, Awa extended his left hand. She touched the back of it for a few seconds.

“That’s good. Now, place your right hand on the back of your left hand and say, ‘Status Open.’”

“Y-yes! Status Open!”

In response to Awa Inuoda’s words, a hologram appeared.

I couldn’t see the details from the back of the line, but it must have displayed something.

“Your rank is ‘A,’ your attribute is ‘Darkness,’ and your blessing is ‘Dark Hero.’ Starting at rank ‘A’... quite promising. Heh heh.”

Yuuta Sagami drew the best result of the day.

I couldn’t help but think, “Why him, of all people?” But some people are just born with everything, I guess.

“Another ‘S’! Your rank is also ‘S,’ attribute is ‘Light,’ and blessing is ‘Saint of Compassion.’”

This was Mirei Katsura, ranked in the top three of the school’s most beautiful girls.

She was the vice president of the student council, kind-hearted, and well-liked. She never called me an orphan or looked down on me.

The line moved quickly.

Ken Ishiba’s rank was “C-,” attribute “Fire,” and blessing “Warrior of Flame.”

I’m sure many of my classmates—myself included—felt his rank should have been even lower.

Only three of us remained, myself included.

Most of the class fell between ranks “B” and “D.”

There were a few “E” ranks, but no “F”s.
