"Very well," she said, her voice gentler, though still firm. "Sect Master Xian Tian, I humbly request access to your Yang Essence to aid in my ascension,"

Xian Tian's eyes glinted with a mix of amusement and satisfaction.

"Now, that's more like it,"

He let her words hang in the air a moment before replying, his tone serious.

"Your request, Madam Fuyu, is... unusual, but not impossible. Perhaps we can come to an arrangement, the one that does not threaten my family,"

Lady Fuyu looked at him carefully, sensing he was willing to negotiate but would not be easily swayed.

"What would you propose, Sect Master?"

"A mutual exchange," Xian Tian said smoothly, "but it will not involve my daughter. In return for access to my Yang Essence, I ask for something equally valuable from you,"

Xian Tian chuckled, unperturbed by her accusation. "Oh, I assure you, my motives are pure," he said smoothly, "I have simply grown tired of the same old dances. I prefer to keep things straightforward, with no hidden agendas nor ulterior motives,"

He is no politician for having some sort of agenda.

Lady Fuyu find it hard to believe as she studied him carefully trying to research his soul, trying to find any hint of deception in his eyes. "You expect me to believe that you have no demands at all?" she asked skeptically.

"I guess it's hard to believe but it is what it is... I don't have anything that I want from you, not that I know of you, however if you really wanna keep the deal equal... You can hand me anything you want,"
