Although the sizes of Shye's spells were absurdly huge, nothing hit their mark, and John was closing in—fast.

Witnessing the current developments, the John Oni supporters burst into thunderous cheers.

Dodging one last projectile, the scout-class rookie flashed an evil smile as he slashed his dagger toward Shye's extended right hand, aiming to cut it just enough for Shye to let go of his weapons.

Realizing what his opponent was going for, Shye frowned. He then swiftly pulled his right hand back to dodge the blow while brandishing the other elemental staff toward John's unguarded head.

The scout was equally as deft though so Shye's left bonk attack was blocked easily by John.

Only, he didn't expect that a mage, someone who should be using elemental spells to fight, would raise his leg and ferociously thrust it forward.

Spartan-kicked in his abdomen, John violently hurtled backward, rolling on the ground for a few moments before finally recovering his footing—a thin stream of blood trickling down the corners of his mouth.

"Hahaha! Your melee combat skills don't seem much to me. I mean, getting kicked the f*ck away by a mage? Pfft! Embarrassing!"
