Hearing Varie's words, Shye's eyes widened before a surge of anger made its way into his heart.
"WHAT?!"

He wanted to rage, however, he also knew that doing so wouldn't make the situation better
Thus, he took multiple deep breaths to calm himself down before speaking again:
"My bad. Since you've been cooperative so far, I'll give you a chance to live. Guide me to the boss'' room and I'll release you."
Shye's words brought hope back to Varie's heart, prompting her to nod repeatedly like a chick.

Drinking the full restoration potion Shye gave her in one gulp, the giantess wore her cloak that was unique to the organization.

Hence, in one swift decisive motion, the squadron leader disappeared and reappeared in the hallway, attempting his best to flee.
Unfortunately, his speed was akin to a three-year-old child's compared to Shye's, and he was easily caught in mere seconds, encountering the same fate as the man named Lector.
Breathing a sigh of relief, Shye dragged the other squadron leader's body back to the room before burning both to a crisp using one giant fireball.
He then blasted the gates open with a single powerful kick, revealing a descending staircase leading to the sixth floor.
As Shye descended the stairs, he heard harrowing howls that sounded like a blend of suffering humans and terrifying monsters, sending slight chills down his spine.
Still, although he wasn't sure if he could defeat even the weakest of (A) ranked monstrous creatures, he was sure that he could at least escape.
Hence, he continued descending with confidence despite hearing the unsettling noises.
Arriving at the sixth floor, Shye was greeted by numerous thick black metal bars jailing hundreds of humans inside.
Eerily, the humans—a mix of both adventurers and mundane folks, were sitting listlessly, staring at the distance with empty eyes.
They had varying scars and vein marks on their bodies, allowing Shye to realize that these guys were probably the unlucky ones who were chosen as lab rats.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the enormous floor, there were thousands of blindfolded humans, most of them physically well-built men and young women with aesthetically pleasing physiques.
Disturbingly, though, there were a few children in a separate cell, causing the flames of anger in Shye's heart to intensify.
Shortly after, footsteps sounded from the stairs located on the other end of the floor.
"Lector, Peco, what's the ruckus all about? Didn't I tell you two that loud noises would di–?!"
The words of a middle-aged man with a slim yet toned physique, gray hair, and a not-so-pleasant goateed look were cut short upon realizing that the young man in front of him was someone he had not seen before.
"You! Who are you?! How did you get in?!"
"You ask too many questions at once. First, I'm the man who will end you, and second, I obviously entered from the front door, you idiot."
