Chapter 476 Yo! Remember Me?
Chapter 476 Yo! Remember Me?
The sun once again withdrew from the sky, allowing darkness to envelop the world.
It was usually time for the monstrous creatures of the (A-) ranked Abomination Lord Dungeon to hunt, yet, the dungeon pathways were eerily silent, and there wasn't a single creature in sight.
'Heh, the bastards now think I'm a threat, is that it?' Shye mused as he followed the blood bug.
It was slow as heck, however, it was Shye's only way to track where the Dark Lycan was.
Hence, he decided just to enjoy the slow journey, picking up valuable herbs, crafting materials, and random ingredients along the way with a leisurely smile.
After around an entire hour of walking, Shye noticed that the blood bug stopped moving and was bumping itself into a huge rock.
He was confused.
The blood bug was his only hope of easily tracking the black-furred general's location, and if it failed, then he would have no choice but to go back to his original plan of waiting in the food storage room for some action.
"Why is it acting this way?" Shye muttered in perplexion.
The next moment, though, he had a sudden epiphany.
"Oh? Maybe..."
Temporarily retrieving the blood bug and storing it in a small container, Shye took out his high-grade, ruby-tier elemental staff, aiming it at the rock.
'Fireball!'
*BOOM!*
A huge explosion occurred as the enormous, roaring ball of flame devoured the rock, destroying it to pieces.
Shortly after, Shye smiled, staring at a hidden pathway that seemed to lead further underground.
'Hoh... what a sneaky overgrown mutt...'He mused, taking out the blood bug once more to see if it would enter the descending pathway.
It indeed did, bringing a smile to Shye's face as he followed it once more.
Your journey continues on empire
A short while later, he arrived at a vast but closed area teeming with various valuable fungi—ones that could be used to create the rarest of consumables.
Shye's eyes naturally glimmered in sheer delight upon finding such a high-value area.
Temporarily capturing the blood bug and returning it to its container, Shye began to harvest everything, storing them in the system's inventory.
Then, once he was done, Shye retrieved the blood bug's container and allowed it to fly free once more.
The dungeon was enormous and intricate. However, with the blood bug's help, Shye easily navigated through the confusing multiple pathways which one would normally have trouble deciding which way to go.
As a result, although it still took him hours to locate the slippery Dark Lycan due to the blood bug's slow movement speed, he at least had a reliable pathfinder.
Who knew how long it would take him to find hidden entrances and exits without the mana-powered bug's help?
Hence, Shye was already rather happy with its reliable performance.

'Nice!'
Realizing that there was one more general amongst the undead army, Shye inwardly celebrated—a reaction that would be insane in the eyes of many.
However, for those who prioritized completing the special quest over staying alive, encountering two generals was indeed a cause for celebration.
This was because slaying at least two generals meant they could claim they had completed the special quest.
...Gripping his greatsword as he faced the charging Bone Wyrm, Shye masterfully used his [Blink] skill, dodging the wyrm's ferocious dive attack with immaculate timing and landing atop its skull.
He then swung both greatswords downward and empowered them with his trusty [Power Slash Lv.5].
*CRACK!*
'Tch, what a tough skull...'
Shye managed to crack the wyrm's skull, causing it to roar in anger.
However, shockingly, the wyrm seemingly didn't even feel the attack that much, counter-attacking right back by slamming its skull to an enormous rock.
Its movement wasn't that fast, though.
Hence, Shye was able to easily get out of the way, landing a few meters beside the enormous undead wyrm.
'Hmmph, it would be better to deal with this dumbass later. For now, I should at least deeply wound that mutt over there...'
