Chapter 589: Frozen End

Chapter 589: Frozen End

*SPURT!*@@@@

Purple blood splattered across the concrete white walls of the battle dimension, creating abstract yet intricate patterns—an enigmatic testament to the fierce battle that had taken place.

*ROAR!*

Shortly after, a primordial roar of agony was followed by a massive body crashing onto the dark purple, hollow void floor, sending large ripples across the peculiar surface.

"Impossible! Impossible!!! I, Veidrax, was wounded heavily by a mere youngster?!" The Void Dragon exclaimed, prompting Shye to turn his head, his eyes wide open in disbelief.

’There’s no f*cking way this dragon is still alive and complaining...’

Both parties gazed at each other with disbelieving eyes.

Veidrax was aware that there were exceptionally powerful individuals among humans. However, it had never encountered one so young yet so formidable. This was the source of its bewilderment.

On the other hand, Shye felt a satisfying sensation as his greatswords sliced deeply into the Void Dragon’s body.

Although he couldn’t cut it in half with a single strike, he was confident it would at least be twitching on the ground, nearing its final breath.

He couldn’t believe it still had the energy to try standing up and complain, even though its neck wobbled unsteadily.

It wasn’t just Veidrax and Shye who were stunned and astonished.

The ten directors of the WAA were also on their feet, with some clutching their heads in disbelief at yet another miracle performed by Valenzia’s golden boy.

Who would have thought that a young man—barely two years into his adventuring career—would truly have a chance to defeat such a creature of legends?

It didn’t take long for Hale to snap out of his stupefaction, however, immediately calling one of his aides.

"Where’s Albus and Frozen End?"

"Sir Hale, Sir Albus is—"

*BANG!*

Hale’s attention was suddenly captured by a loud explosion on the holographic screen, causing him to accidentally hit the end call button, abruptly cutting off his conversation with his subordinate.

It didn’t seem that he needed to call again, however, as the man he was looking for was already within his vision.

"Albus Verona of the Poison Cloud, reporting for the Tetanus Dagger!"

Upon hearing the unfamiliar voice echoing from a breach in the battle dimension’s walls, Shye and the other party members were stunned for a few seconds before their minds finally grasped what was happening.

Reinforcements had arrived!

After cursing its heart out, Veidrax flew, diving towards the charging Albus the next moment.

"Hahahaha! Too slow!"

Leaping to confront the Void Dragon mid-air, the Chellione Hero twisted his body, slipping beneath Veidrax’s chest.

A moment later, the dragon and the human passed each other as if nothing had occurred.

But this was far from the truth.

In the next moment, purple blood spurted from a long, moderately deep wound stretching from Veidrax’s chest to its right hind leg, causing the dragon to roar in anguish and thrash wildly.

"Hahaha! You lost that time, Void Dragon!" Albus cheerily exclaimed, bringing further shame and anger to Veidrax’s heart.

Spitting blood as it struggled to stabilize its footing, the Void Dragon’s eyes turned pitch black.

Then, the next moment, it laughed uproariously as though it lost its mind.

"HAHAHAHAHA! VERY WELL, HUMANS! I ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR CAPABILITIES! I ADMIT DEFEAT IN TERMS OF STRENGTH AND COMBAT SKILLS. BUT I WON’T BE GOING TO THE UNDERWORLD ALONE..."

Everyone’s eyes widened and their hearts raced as they felt a huge mana buildup inside Veidrax’s body.

"Shit! It’s trying to detonate its core! Everyone, gather up! Use your strongest defensive skills!" Albus cursed, to think that even his life would be in jeopardy...

He started to regret accepting the damned rescue mission.

"Iron Fortress! Steel Mountain!"

"Mana Barrier! Aqua Barrier! Earthen Wall!"

"Physical Barrier! Aqua Barrier! Flame Wall!"

Following the hero’s command, Shye, Mira, and Dalton quickly complied, activating all their defensive skills to form a thick, multi-elemental barrier in front of their small group of five.

However, both Shye and Albus quickly recognized that their defenses wouldn’t be enough to withstand the blast from the core’s detonation.

In the end, who lived and who died would be left to fate.

"Brace for impact!"

But then, just when everyone gritted their teeth and accepted their fate, an unfamiliar woman’s voice sounded, as gentle as the morning breeze.

"Glacial Bulwark."

In the next moment, a massive wall of ice, far thicker than their combined defensive skills, rose from the ground.

Frozen End of Valenzia has arrived.
