Chapter 619: Training Arc
Chapter 619: Training Arc
Inside the division lounge’s division leader’s office, tonic and potion bottles clinked.
Shye was naturally pleased that everyone grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Although most of them felt awkward accepting such high-quality training items from their peer, they still did so in the name of the greater good.
After all, it wasn’t just their pride as talented youths that was at stake, but their entire future.
Though it was early and disheartening, they had to set aside their youthful pride because they faced a much more pressing issue.
One that even they, talented youngsters, could only solve a small part of no matter how hard they tried.
At least that’s what they knew for now.
Given their character—excluding the rat—Shye was confident they would willingly pledge their allegiance to his side, as it was the path to addressing the issue at its core.
However, they were still far too weak to be of help to him and the old man. They had to grow stronger first.@@@@
Naturally, Shye planned to exploit the darned old man’s resources.
It would be unwise for him to spend all his hard-earned points and money on others to clean up the old man’s mess, no?
He believed that Sanada should at least provide support in terms of training resources and funds to develop formidable talents who could become reliable comrades in the future.
Even though the old man didn’t instruct him to recruit people, he didn’t care at all.
He was determined to do what he wanted and take the people he cared about with him, given that the old man had dumped all his mistakes on him, creating immense trouble for him, his broken family, and the entire world.
Once the war between Hadean Varsa, The WAA, and Dweezel’s forces began, the safest place for his loved ones would be by his side.
As for his dearest little sister, Shye wasn’t certain if she would become strong enough to help, but since she had never refused any of the training materials he sent her after he explained the world’s situation, there was always a reasonable chance she could make it.
If she does, Shye would tell her everything and recruit her to fight alongside him, their parents, and the Colzen folks.
However, should she not, Shye had a backup plan for her, although she probably wouldn’t appreciate it.
’Sigh, I hope she could make it...’ Shye inwardly sighed as he thought of Maia’s unfortunate situation.
He knew she would love to help and share the burden with him.
"B-But..."
"Trust me, this old bastard can’t refuse my demands."
Reginald didn’t want to give his return scrolls to Shye, but what choice did he have?
The old man had instructed him to assist Shye whenever possible since he would be the core of their operations.
So, with a deep sigh, Reginald retrieved the specialized scrolls, handed one to Shye, and used the other for himself.
He could only hope that Shye would manage to secure unlimited access for him as well.
’Well, if the old man spoils him this much, he should be able to keep his promise of getting one for me.’ Reginald consoled himself.
"Sigh...Well then, shall we go?"
With a nod from Shye, the two vanished and reappeared in the specialized recall chamber of the Hadean Varsa Main Headquarters.
Soon after, they presented their identification documents to the guards, leaving one of them with his mouth agape.
"P-Pardon me for asking but...Are you Shye Crowley of the Black Dawn?" One of the guards asked, prompting the other guy to slap him on the back of his head.
"You idiot! Don’t ask for unnecessary details!"
"B-But...I just watched the inauguration ceremony earlier...This guy is the first ever Valenzian Hero, you know?"
"W-Wait, is that true?"
Shye frowned after hearing the two guards’ questions, causing him to ponder whether they should take their lives or not.
In such situations, he wasn’t sure if their plans might be jeopardized by seemingly innocent questions.
Therefore, he thought it would be better to eliminate the guards to keep them silent and protect his identity.
Fortunately, he didn’t need to take action as two void pockets suddenly appeared beside the guards, enveloping their heads and making them forget what they had just seen.
The next moment, he heard the old man’s whisper:
"Go ahead and leave these two guards. Your identity will remain a secret. From now on, wear that white mask in your inventory whenever you visit the headquarters."
