Chapter 585 The Disappearance of Sai
Chapter 585 The Disappearance of Sai
"How could this be? How could they have become like this!"
Naruto looked at him with disbelief. "You really did that?"
The doctor pushed up his glasses with his shoulder, grinned smugly, and said, "Hehehe, of course. Yamanaka Ino has such a perfect figure, she's naturally the object of every man's desire. And right now she's acting all dazed and silly, making her easy to manipulate. It's just a pity, if only we had done it sooner."
"You bastard!" Naruto roared, slamming his fist into his face. "How could you do this?"
After a few punches, the doctor's face was deformed, and it looked like his skull was about to cave in. Kakashi quickly reached out to stop him.
"Don't do it yourself; they deserve to be punished."
Naruto fell silent, and the clones he had created disappeared one by one. He released all the ninjas, letting them go as they pleased, and watched as the Konoha people turned into corpses.
Before leaving, Kakashi patted Naruto on the head. "Naruto, you should also develop the ability to judge right from wrong. Don't be easily swayed by others, and don't believe everything I say. My decision today might be wrong someday."
After Kakashi finished speaking, he turned and left. As Obito, Kakashi's feelings for Naruto were complicated. He hoped that Naruto could grow up and shoulder everything, but he also did not want him to be trapped in a cage set up by others.
Konoha had already gone astray from the very beginning, but now there's no turning back. They can only continue down this path, either crashing into a bridge, falling off a cliff, resulting in a fatal accident, or plunging madly into hell.
Today, a newcomer arrived at Uchiha Sasuke's genjutsu hut. He was Nara Shikamaru's mother; they had met before and had a good relationship.
"Auntie's illusions can only quench your thirst temporarily; people cannot be brought back to life after they die. The best way is to move on from the past, accept it calmly, and make peace with yourself."
It's hard to imagine that Sasuke Uchiha would say such a thing, but because he's been around this type of person for a long time, he's gradually come to understand it. He's unconsciously picked up this kind of rhetoric.
He rarely tells others about it, because most people, once they've experienced the Tsukuyomi technique, will never give it up.
Therefore, he only advises those who come for the first time and want to use the Tsukuyomi illusion to enter Gensokyo.
"I know." Shikamaru's mother sat awkwardly in front of the stool. As the most intelligent member of the family, how could she not understand such a principle?
But even if you understand, how difficult is it to truly let go and reconcile with yourself?
If Choji Akimichi was the only person Choza Akimichi could rely on, then Shikamaru Nara was no less so. It's just that she had her husband by her side, which allowed her to barely get through the first hurdle.
But today's large-scale massacre finally triggered her nerves. She didn't want to stay in this dull Konoha anymore; she was afraid of encountering another madman one day.
Or perhaps she's afraid that one day she'll become like that crazy person herself.
"I'm not talking about temporary entry, but permanent entry." Nara Shikamaru's mother gripped Uchiha Sasuke's hand tightly, her eyes filled with pleading. "I know, I know everything. Don't treat me like some ignorant village woman. I was once a special Jonin, I commanded battles, and I have a photographic memory. Nothing can escape my notice."
"Konoha has the potential to permanently trap someone in the Tsukuyomi jutsu. That giant beast, that Ten-Tails, is probably hidden inside the Hokage Rock of Konoha."
Uchiha Sasuke quickly pushed his hand away. "Auntie, what are you saying? I don't understand. If you don't have anything else to do, don't delay other people's treatment."
Having said that, he got up and prepared to leave the hut.
But the woman behind him said, "Sasuke, you'll need his help someday. Perhaps the Infinite Tsukuyomi is the only salvation for Konoha now."
Sasuke paused only for a moment before quickly walking away and disappearing into the wooden house.
Today, all those who had been queuing to enter the illusion lost their chance and became increasingly frustrated.
Most of them wanted to use illusion magic to dispel their fears today, after all, not all villagers were rioters, and some still had fears in their hearts.
Sai entered Yakumo Kurama's studio and pointed to a large tree he had painted, asking, "What's this?"
"The future, the future I see."
Sai asked, "If it's not controlled, will Konoha ultimately become a giant tree?"
"No, this is an inevitable outcome. The old Konoha will inevitably disappear, and a new Konoha will be born beneath the tree."
After uttering this cryptic remark, Yakumo Kurama changed the subject: "Did you come here after careful consideration?"
"Hmm. My ninjutsu has reached a bottleneck, so I need to enter your illusionary space to seek a breakthrough."
"If you can't get out, you will lose yourself and become part of my illusion."
"It doesn't matter, after all, my existence has no real meaning." Sai shook his head slightly.
As Yakumo Kurama picked up his brush to paint, scene after scene appeared before him.
Sai pushed open the door and stepped into the illusionary labyrinth inside. As the images disappeared, he and his companions vanished as well.
Soon after, Naruto found her and sat down in front of a painting, looking at it with some disappointment.
That was a prophetic painting drawn by Yakumo Kurama, which reminded him that reckless behavior would cause the butterflies, shadows, and wolves to disappear.
However, that operation proved her prophecy true; even Tsunade, who survived, eventually turned into a large tree.
Then he turned to look at another painting, the one depicting the hospital scene.
Almost all his friends and acquaintances were in that painting, except for Yakumo himself.
"What is this?"
"It didn't mean anything by it. It was just a scene I unintentionally recorded. But it might become our funeral portrait in the future."
Naruto froze on the spot. Kurama Yakumo, seeing his expression, smiled for the first time: "It was just a joke. The future is unpredictable, and I cannot predict everyone's death."
"Would you like me to draw a picture for you?"
Yakumo Kurama's sudden change of direction left Naruto somewhat bewildered.
She suddenly stood up, took his hand, and helped him sit on the shelf in front of her.
Naruto did not resist and did as she asked.
"What are you doing...?"
"I noticed you were in a bad mood, so I drew this crying face and then deleted it. Don't move!" Yakumo Kurama held his head and gently turned it back into place.
Naruto's cheeks suddenly turned red, until a figure suddenly burst in.
