Chapter 18 War and Alchemy
Chapter 18 War and Alchemy
"Tsk, not easy to deal with..."
Persson hovered in the sky, looking down at the simple giant tribe below.
There were thirty-two giants in total, male and female indistinguishable, wearing dirty animal skins, rubbing themselves against trees or dozing on rocks.
Persson's arrival caused a commotion, but the giants did not scatter and flee. Instead, they gathered together, protecting a few smaller giants in the middle, and moved towards the exceptionally spacious cave in the rock wall.
"Is their leader living there?"
As he was pondering, a huge rock flew out of the cave, but Persson flapped his giant wings just in time, and the rock didn't even brush against his scales.
But this is still not a good sign.
These giants will rebel!
Boom!Boom!Boom!
Heavy footsteps echoed from the depths of the cave, and an exceptionally large monster stepped out of the cave entrance, carrying a spiked mace and wearing armor pieced together from several pieces of iron.
His equipment was very basic, and he exuded an aura of poverty.
However, they should not be underestimated!
"Buck teeth, bigger than you!"
"Buck-toothed, I'm better than you!"
The giant, named Bucktooth, stretched out his left hand and gestured with two fingers to indicate the size of Poisson in the air, seemingly convinced that Poisson was only that big, and his confidence swelled to an unprecedented level.
Its domineering attitude also infected the other giants. The whole tribe roared, and the adult giants grabbed the tree trunks, stones, or even some unlucky little giants next to them and threw them at Persson with great force.
Poisson seems to dance in the sky, skillfully avoiding these "noises" with each turn and each ascent, composing an elegant movement.
But that's not enough at all!
The giants' hurls weave a dense web of firepower, which Poisson can easily handle at high altitudes, but becomes extremely dangerous once he descends.
Especially the giant named Bucktooth, it was the strongest and could throw the farthest; the few times we were almost hit were all because of it.
"We must consider this carefully..."
As the sun sank completely into the distant mountains and the world was gradually swallowed by night, Persson decisively turned around and flew towards the castle.
He can handle a single giant monster with relative ease now, but he struggles against organized groups of giant monsters.
Although it is possible to defeat them one by one.
But what Poisson wanted was not killing, but submission.
To make all the giants submit to him from the bottom of their hearts, he must crush any thought of resistance with overwhelming force!
What he needs is a complete and utter victory!
"It's too difficult for a young dragon like me to achieve this in a short time."
"However, since we're facing the entire tribe, shouldn't I also consider how to get my own people involved in the battle...?"
The young dragon flew away, carrying its questions with it.
Instead of returning to the cave, Bucktooth looked at Persson's receding figure, pounded his chest, and roared to announce the great victory.
"Bucktooth defeated a dragon! Bucktooth is invincible!"
The troll tribe was caught up in a frenzy, completely unaware that the war had only just begun...
……
After settling the goblin and the club, Persson transformed back into human form and returned to Hogwarts.
After being away for an afternoon, Malfoy seemed to want to ask something.
However, when faced with Poisson's extremely intimidating gaze, he decisively started whistling to help Goyle and Crabbe with their studies.
"The word is 'pure.' Damn it, why are you asking me for the password? Are you all completely illiterate?"
Ignoring the furious Malfoy, Persson finished his dinner and plunged into the library.
"The limits of goblins are what they are; it's unrealistic to expect them to fight trolls head-on."
"To win against a stronger opponent, the most crucial factor is better equipment!"
The Dragon Legacy contains numerous recipes for crafting alchemical items, more than enough to defeat several giant monsters.
Persson chose an alchemical tool called Dragon's Breath Bullet, which produces different effects depending on the material of the "fuel".
It is simple to make, easy to use, and has a wide range of applications.
It's absolutely the top choice for murder, arson, and territorial conquest!
Unfortunately, materials from different worlds are obviously not interchangeable. Poisson searched through his "Thousands of Wonderful Herbs and Mushrooms" but could not find any trace of Dragon's Breath Grass and Blazing Flower.
"Fortunately, the materials used in Dragon Breath Bullets are varied, and even the outer shell, which is the main body, can always be replaced with alternative materials."
This is also why Persson came to the library.
To know what materials can be used as replacements, one must update all the knowledge in one's mind and incorporate the alchemy system of the Harry Potter world.
First-year students obviously wouldn't be taught such advanced questions, and Persson didn't know who the alchemy professor at Hogwarts was, let alone dare to ask such a question.
Ask one of Dumbledore's teachers how to blow up the school.
He'll probably be sent to Azkaban the very next day!
Upon arriving at the alchemy section, Persson quickly spotted a book titled "Explosions Are Art: Dr. Philipp's Amazing Fireworks Making Secrets".
Dragon's Breath and fireworks are actually quite similar in some ways.
But as soon as he reached out his hand, the book was taken away by someone else.
"Oh! Look who I've met!"
"Professor McGonagall's new darling!"
A forbidden duet-like voice echoed in Persson's ears, and two identical tufts of fiery red hair entered his field of vision.
"Professor McGonagall gave me quite a lecture this afternoon!" The boy on the left extended his right hand first. "My name is Fred."
"Not even as good as a first-year student, blah blah blah," the boy on the right followed up by extending his left hand, "My name is George."
Persson crossed his arms and calmly shook hands with the two men. "You can call me Persson."
"You're definitely not your average Slytherin!" Fred circled Persson, looking him up and down as if he were some rare species.
"Hermione said you two are friends?" George's mouth dropped open dramatically. "Being friends with a Muggle-born wizard? Slytherins would be rolling in their graves, wouldn't they?"
Persson shrugged: "If he could really hear, he would have risen from the dead long ago when he knew what a mess Slytherin House is in now."
Poisson showed little reverence for either his own academy or its founder.
"Indeed, you're the most interesting Slytherin I've ever met!"
Fred casually draped his arm over Poisson's shoulder, while George held up a copy of "Explosion is Art" and asked curiously:
"Judging from your movements just now, it seemed like you were about to grab this book? Are you also planning to make your own fireworks?"
"If you need any help, just ask your senior!" Fred confidently patted his chest. "George and I have been researching this stuff since freshman year, it's guaranteed to be reliable!"
Upon hearing this, Possom's mind stirred.
It seems he's found two wild research apes...
