Chapter 4 Aurelia
Chapter 4 Aurelia
Despite her thoughts, Chloe ultimately didn't dare to make a move.
Although she was no longer afraid of Navelette because of this series of events, she was still facing the Supreme Judge of Fontaine, so she had to exercise some restraint.
They were having a cozy hair-drying session, but the little sea otter, who had been ignored, was extremely unhappy.
Based on first impressions, the little guy firmly believed that Navelette was a sea otter just like it, only a tiny bit bigger!
And that guy is so much bigger than it, can't he groom himself? Why does he still cling to its owner?
The little sea otter was indignant and jumped off the sofa in front of them, meowing incessantly.
Villette got a little itchy and couldn't resist reaching out and tapping the little sea otter on the head. However, she didn't control herself well and pushed the little otter so hard that it fell flat on the ground and started barking even louder.
Chloe had just finished blow-drying his hair, so she quickly stepped between the two of them to prevent the little guy from scratching him in anger.
"We should live together peacefully," she said seriously.
Navelette, of course, wouldn't refuse, but the little sea otter, who couldn't understand human speech, wasn't about to give up so easily. He was still eager to have a duel between "male otters" with him.
Chloe had no choice but to pick it up, find the dried fish snacks she had prepared beforehand and feed them to it, while also slipping a few into Vilette's hand.
The latter imitated her and brought the dried fish to the little sea otter's mouth.
The little sea otter initially didn't want to pay attention to him, but ultimately couldn't resist the temptation of the dried fish and reluctantly ate it.
It was also righteous and knew what fair exchange meant. After eating Vilette's food, it really didn't intend to hold a grudge against him anymore and grumbled as it ran back to its little pond.
The rain outside stopped sometime ago.
Bringing someone home was only a temporary measure; after the rain stopped, Navelette took the initiative to say goodbye.
However, time was inevitably a bit rushed, and Chloe hadn't been able to dry all his clothes yet, so she could only temporarily put them in a small bag and hand them to him.
Looking at her own clothes on Villette, she couldn't help but ask worriedly, "Are you sure everything's alright?"
Although the outfit was unisex in terms of style and didn't reveal anything, the thought of him wearing her clothes all the way back to Mo Mang Palace made her feel a little awkward.
Navelette, however, assumed she was still worried about whether the clothes fit, and simply said, "No problem."
Since the person involved had already said so, Chloe couldn't say anything more and could only see him to the door.
Before leaving, Navelette thanked her sincerely: "Thank you for your hospitality today, Ms. Chloe."
The man stepped into the sunlight.

"And then? What happened next?"
In the cramped room, the red-haired girl finally put down her pen and looked at the guy beside her, who was propping his chin up with his hand and looked completely troubled. "Are you really just going to let him go like that?"
"Otherwise what?" Chloe retorted irritably. "To be frank, we're just pen pals. You don't really think we can take things further, do you? Aurelia, I think you've gone completely mad from writing screenplays!"
Aurellie, who had indeed been busy writing a script lately and hadn't even left the house in a long time, was momentarily speechless. However, she quickly came up with a way to retort sarcastically: "If that's really the case, then who was it that kept telling me they were smitten with someone a while ago? And didn't you keep saying you didn't want to work and wanted to lie down? Now that the opportunity is right in front of you, you're not even seizing it."
In an era where the water god serves more as a mascot, the Supreme Judge Navelette is practically the undisputed ruler of Fontaine.
Since this guy appeared, there has been an endless stream of people trying to seduce him, all for the sake of supreme status and power.
However, in the end, no one succeeded. At least until now, Aurelia has not heard any gossip about him. It seems that her friend is unique and has a very high chance of success!
"Hey! Don't be so pragmatic!" Chloe complained. "I was just saying 'let's give up' back then, you know I'm not short of money. I just—I just—"
"Just what?"
"No matter what, anyone would be attracted to such a gentle and considerate guy, right..." Chloe muttered, covering her face, her cheeks flushed. "But why does he have to be the Supreme Judge..."
Despite Aurelie's sweet talk, they all knew that getting involved with the Supreme Judge meant endless trouble, and Chloe hated trouble the most.
Unable to shake off her distress, Chloe could only whine to her best friend, "Aurelia, please help me! For the past few days, every time I close my eyes to sleep, all I see is his face!"
Although Chloe doesn't consider herself a looks-obsessed person, but rather someone who yearns for a soulmate, she had already secretly fallen for "Otter" before even knowing what he looked like. However, the truth is that after actually meeting him, she was superficially captivated by Villette's face.
At the height of their troupe's glory, Aurelia had also taken her younger siblings to the Opiclie Opera stage and had met Navelette. So she knew that Navelette's words were not an exaggeration. But how could she help with something like this?
She racked her brains but could only come up with some terrible ideas: "How about I introduce you to Poirot and the others?"
Poirot is Aureli's brother and a member of her theater troupe. Because of his outstanding appearance, he often plays the male lead role in the plays.
Chloe, of course, knew them well too, and was shocked to hear this: "Isn't Poirot in love with you?"
Aurelia was bewildered: "How could that be? I'm his sister!"
"Please, even though you always consider yourself the older sister of the guys in your troupe, there's no blood relation after all, so it's normal for them to like you."
Seeing that she still seemed a little unable to accept it, Chloe wanted to argue with her a bit more, but just then there was a knock on the door.
The visitor was Verman, also a member of the Aurélie Theatre Company.
"Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I have something I'd like to discuss with our leader."
Since they had important business to attend to, Chloe didn't want to bother them any longer and could only say goodbye to Aurelia.
But before leaving, he couldn't resist teasing her one last time: "No matter what, this kind of opportunity is rare. I can tell you really like him, so if you don't seize this chance, do you want to remain single for another twenty years?"
Hmph, it's easy for you to talk when you're not the one suffering!
On the way back, Chloe couldn't help but wonder if she didn't want to go find Vilette, since she clearly didn't have the chance!
She had only hesitated for two days about whether to continue her pen pal relationship with Navelette, never expecting that Leon would steal her home.
This leader, who acts on impulse, ultimately decided to withdraw the suggestion letter system after a month of trial implementation. He inadvertently discovered that everyone in the legal department was afraid of offending people, so they wrote only trivial and unhelpful things that had no effect whatsoever.
Now, Chloe has lost her only way of contacting Navelette, and even if she wanted to find her, she can't.
We can't really let her barge straight into Villette's office, can we?

At this moment, Chloe had no idea that in a couple of days she would actually be rushing to Villette's office looking for someone _(:з」∠)_
