Chapter 146 The Incompetent Celestials

Reed's expression changed slightly upon hearing the Holy Lord's words. "The name of the Celestial Group... who exactly are you people?"

"Answer the question," the Holy Lord said calmly.

"The Illuminati is responsible for maintaining order in this universe." Reed raised his hand, and the soldiers released the safety. "Whoever you are, come with me to headquarters for questioning."

The Holy Lord did not move.

Wanda stepped forward.

"Your master is asking you a question." She looked at Reed, her eyes flashing red.

Reed felt a sharp pain in his brain; his pride in his reason and defense mechanisms were no match for chaos magic.

"At the edge of the solar system—" Reed blurted out uncontrollably, "the judge is judging—our universe—"

"Judgment." Upon hearing this word, the Holy Lord ignored Reed.

He looked up at the sky, at the edge of the solar system: "Let's go."

The blue light came on again.

The three disappeared into the street.

Reed snapped back to reality, gasping for breath, his uniform soaked with cold sweat.

"Sir, do you need to track him?" a soldier asked as he approached.

Reed looked at the spot where they had disappeared and shook his head: "Notify headquarters, top alert, there's something we can't understand—they went to find the judge."

1

The edge of the solar system.

Kuiper belt.

A colossal red phantom stood against the dark backdrop of space, its six eyes radiating a cold light.

Judge, Arisham.

In his hand, he held half an octagonal stone, which was the dark side of the Tiger Talisman.

Arithm is assessing the universe's remaining value, as the frequent occurrence of anomalies has brought its stability to a critical point.

The space in front of him suddenly distorted, and three figures appeared in the vacuum.

Shendu doesn't need to breathe, Wanda has chaos magic protecting her, and Thanos's physique allows him to survive in the universe.

Arithm's six eyes turned toward the Lord.

"You have crossed the line." The grand thought resounded directly in the minds of the three.

The Holy Lord looked at the half-stone in his hand: "Give it to me."

Without a word, Aristam raised his enormous hand, palm facing the Holy Lord.

Energy powerful enough to destroy the entire solar system gathered in his palm.

The judge's duty is to eliminate all threats.

The Holy Lord's eyes were calm as he lightly raised his right hand and snapped his fingers.

The Reality Stone and the Space Stone operate simultaneously, further harmonized by the positive aspect of the Tiger Talisman.

The energy gathered in Arithm's palm transformed into countless rose petals, which silently drifted away in the vacuum.

The judge's actions froze.

"I said, give it to me, don't you understand?"

The Holy Lord vanished, and the next second, he appeared on the back of Arithm's hand.

A huge difference in strength? A difference in body size?

Faced with the most extreme rules, these are all jokes.

The Holy Lord stomped down.

The explosive power of the Dragon Talisman is combined with the extreme speed of the Rabbit Talisman, and then amplified by the Reality Gem.

Arithm's hand, which was the size of a planet, was severed at the wrist.

The cut was as smooth as a mirror, and half a stone had fallen from the severed hand.

The Holy Lord reached out and caught it.

Yin and Yang come together.

The complete Tiger Talisman has been restored to its original position.

Energy surged from Arithm’s broken wrist as he attempted to reassemble his hand.

The Holy Lord turned his head and looked at the enormous red phantom: "The trial is over."

He raised his hand, spread his fingers, and then clenched his fist.

The space around Arithm collapsed inward, and the Celestial Judge was compressed into a fist-sized red crystal before he could even leave a last word.

The Holy Lord beckoned, and the crystal fell into his hand.

He glanced down at it, then casually tossed it to Wanda below: "Here, play with it."

Wanda caught the crystal and carefully put it away.

Thanos watched this scene and silently sheathed his sword. He now felt that being a guide was actually quite good.

The Holy Lord looked at the distant Earth and squinted his eyes. The Illuminati should know some information, such as other spells.

"Let's go visit the Illuminati," the Holy Lord said calmly. "They should know quite a bit."

A flash of blue light, and the Kuiper Belt returned to its deathly silence.

Only the floating rose petals prove what once happened here.

Headquarters of the Illuminati.

As soon as Reed sent out the alarm, a blue light lit up in the center of the hall.

Professor X, Charles Xavier, sat in a wheelchair, his brow furrowed. Captain Marvel, Maria Rambo, had energy emanating from her hands. Captain Carter raised her shield. Black Bolt stood at the back, expressionless.

The three Holy Lords appeared in the center of the hall.

"Don't be nervous." The Holy Lord looked around at the heroes who were on high alert. "I'm just here to ask for directions."

A scream rang out from Charles's mouth without any warning, and blood kept flowing from his mouth, nose, eyes, and ears.

He had just tried to enter the Holy Lord's mind, but all he was met with was an overwhelming pressure that his body could not withstand, and he died on the spot.

A deathly silence fell over the hall. Charles's death had come without warning, but everyone knew what had happened.

The Holy Lord's smile remained unchanged: "Now, who will answer my question?"

Charles's wheelchair was overturned on the ground, and his body lay to one side, bleeding from all seven orifices, a truly horrifying sight.

Black Bolt took a half step back. Charles's death was utterly illogical. The most powerful telepath on Earth had died instantly from a mere touch to the brain. This wasn't a battle; it was a one-sided execution.

Captain Carter held his shield horizontally in front of him, his voice tense: "You killed him."

"He bumped into it himself." The Holy Lord sat down on a chair next to him, crossed his legs, and said, "I told him not to be nervous, but he wouldn't listen."

Maria Lamb's hands glowed even brighter with energy, but she didn't move. Charles's death had given her a sufficient warning; this man before her couldn't be judged by ordinary standards.

Thanos leaned against the wall, arms crossed, watching the spectacle with an air of schadenfreude. Wanda stood beside Shendu's chair, harboring little affection for those who disrespected him.

Reed walked in through the door, saw Charles's body, and paused.

"I suggest you cooperate," Reed said to his companions.

Captain Carter turned to look at him: "Reed?"

"The judge is dead." Reed's voice was dry. "Aristham, the judge of the Celestials, was already dead before I sounded the alarm."

The hall was silent for a few seconds. These were all intelligent people; someone capable of killing a Celestial Judge was not someone they could contend with.

"Very good." The Holy Lord nodded. "I need to find a few things, the Twelve Zodiac Talismans. There should be clues about them in your universe."

Reed frowned: "A spell?"

"Stop pretending." The Holy Lord looked at him: "Your Illuminati claim to maintain the order of the universe, and you have plenty of records of all kinds of occult artifacts. What I want is the whereabouts of the dog and the sheep, and the two talismans."

Reed and Maria exchanged a glance.

"I need to check the database." Reed walked to the console, his fingers flying across the holographic screen.

The Lord did not urge them; the only sounds in the hall were the tapping of keyboards and the hum of the equipment.

Wanda took the crystal from her pocket and twirled it under the light; its red sheen was beautiful. Thanos glanced at the crystal, then looked away. The Celestial Judge being reduced to a toy the size of a marble was something he had never even dared to imagine before.
