Sanctuary Starfield Journey

163-13 True Luck

163-13 True Luck

Mo Bei's chosen strategy was to allocate his moves rationally. While stacked pieces were powerful, seemingly chaotic pieces, though not aligned, were united in purpose, confident of victory, on the board of gods.

The passerby threw the first shard, and it was still 5! He then stacked the Temple of Alfedens, the Sacred Relic, and the Returning Star together. Finding that the Pale Garden couldn't be stacked, he took a step forward and said, "Given your performance just now, I will receive another shard throw." Before Mo Bei could speak, he threw the shard, and it was still 5! The Temple of Alfedens, the Sacred Relic, and the Returning Star took five steps forward, leaving desolation in their wake—a place for execution. However, the name is still too long, so let's just call it the Temple of Alfedens and the Returning Star for short.

Mo Bei found this result acceptable, considering he might not have even gotten a 5 if he had rolled it himself. So he rolled a 3 and arranged for Long Kongkong, Li Ersha, and the Destruction Prison to each step forward.

The passerby threw a 5, and Pfeiffer took five steps forward.

Mo Bei threw out a 4, causing Yan Yu to also step forward.

The passerby rolled a 5 again! He's already close to Long Kongkong and Li Ersha! Only four moves are needed to remove one of Mo Bei's pieces from the field.

Mo Bei finally rolled a 5! This unlucky guy is truly something to celebrate. Mo Bei first spent two moves to have Li Ersha stack on top of Long Kongkong, then in the remaining three moves, he arranged for Yan Yu to move forward one step and to the right two steps.

The passerby rolled a 5 again, but felt that ending the game like this was pointless (what's the point of using technology?), so he arranged for Feiji Star to move forward 5 steps, happily watching how Mobei would make his choice.

Just then, a ring opened, and the oversized girl in the cat-hat burst forth, heading straight for the passerby, followed by a ball of flame and swirling floral threads. The instant the ring closed, time outside stopped flowing again.

"This time, it's not about just surviving, but about living in the present."

The woman produced a slanted blade, and four flowers appeared beside her: a rare flower, a perilous flower, a resentful flower, and a cherished flower.

In an instant, the four flowers vanished and reappeared, accompanied by the appearance of a [Prosperous Gathering] domain filled with fallen petals and spring rain. The fire around the girl intensified, giving rise to flowers, and the flowing fire gathered together.

The girl spoke, "Mo Bei! Quick!" Mo Bei was slightly taken aback, looking at her with confusion, "Huh? Are you calling me?" The girl replied, "Yes! Quickly throw the shards!" She then rushed to the passerby, who seemed somewhat surprised, "How did Yu Yanxi find this place... and even retrieved one of the seven senses—name—beforehand. It seems I can only switch to rationality." She then raised her hand, summoning a combination of starlight and cangya—the First Starry Sky. This was a weapon primarily a gun, with a Rubik's Cube shimmering at its core, accompanied by countless gears and a long dragon spiraling upwards. It must be said, it was quite beautiful, but why were so many people using guns? Loamaya, Mo Bei, and now a passerby...

Mo Bei turned back to craft the shard, which had a score of 5. He then had Yan Yu take three steps forward, inflicting a small amount of damage on Fei Ji Xing, essentially killing Huan Xing. He then took a step back and a step to the left to escape. After completing his maneuver, he looked at the passerby.

The passerby raised his gun to parry the girl's sword, but was immediately absorbed by the girl's water. A red light emanated from the girl; she slashed upwards followed by a horizontal slash (a spiritual technique), then unleashed a rapid three-hit combo, all of which the passerby blocked with his gun. The passerby even managed to throw a shard of armor, but only managed three steps. Seeing this, the girl immediately switched to her bow, retreated, and fired four arrows.

The arrow struck the chessboard but caused no damage. Fei Jixing, positioned diagonally to the upper right, captured Yan Yu and then directly attacked Long Kongkong and Li Ersha's combined form, Long Ersha, from the upper left.

Mo Bei was stunned upon seeing this: "How can you do it diagonally? That's equivalent to taking five steps, right? That's not fair." The passerby parried the arrow and replied, "Approximately three, no problem. If you think it's unfair, then don't bother." Mo Bei, who was just about to replicate the diagonal movement, was immediately banned. Just as she was about to feel sad, she saw…

After the girl somersaulted 180 degrees in the air, a large flower cluster appeared in her hand, with a central floral pattern and smaller clusters of flowers on either side. Simultaneously, the smaller clusters gathered petals from the ground and shot out: the central cluster, guided by stamens on either side, released falling petals, which then coalesced into a vibrant, flowing bouquet that meandered towards the passersby. At the same time, the large central flower cluster, after the two smaller clusters coalesced into a bouquet, fired lasers that struck the passersby.

Seeing this, Mo Bei's eyes lit up: "I love King of Glory World!" He then rallied, threw five steps forward, and after a moment of smug satisfaction, separated Long Ersha from Li Ersha. He took a step to the left, then moved forward to damage Fei Jixing. This was equivalent to Li Ersha defeating the Holy Relic.

Next, Mo Bei instructed Li Ersha to retreat one step and then dodge the attack to the left. Then, the last remaining step was used to destroy the prison: destroying the prison one step forward, so that Fei Ji Xing would need two steps to attack each piece, and since the passerby was fighting, his decision-making should be affected.

The passerby tried to dodge but found their movement speed greatly reduced, leaving them only able to parry with their gun. To clarify: it's not that the author couldn't write it, but the passerby genuinely couldn't dodge it. Not only were the bouquet and laser tracking them, but a 40% slow was already a significant amount of crowd control.

The passerby rolled a 2 and swallowed Li Ersha.

Mo Bei rolled a 5, sending the Destroyer Prison heading straight for the Pale Garden. He didn't know why he did it; it was a decision made by fate.

The passerby grasped the blade, which left a wound on his fingertip. His finger then vanished, absorbing the light of the Flower-Cutting Night. The girl, realizing something was wrong, immediately retreated, as countless petals rained down on the flames around her, which then burst into flames, filling the entire room with fire.

Mo Bei was blasted away by the flames; only thanks to his high fire resistance did he survive.

The chessboard was eroded in the fire; the pale garden and the ruined prison were scattered and turned to ashes by the wind.

The ashes drifted toward the passerby, who was shielded from the flames by a barrier nearby. Then, with a casual toss, he threw out a 1!

Mo Bei was just enjoying himself when he was swept away, only to see a girl charging towards the passerby with a knife. Mo Bei used Thunder Flame Soaring Heaven, but the equipment fragment fell off. He immediately picked it up after the flames disappeared.

A divine move! Mo Bei rolls a 1! Long Kongkong kills the game.

The Palace of Aphrodite was destroyed by Long Kongkong, and the chessboard split into four halves that expanded outwards, revealing a passageway below. The girl, seeing this, confidently passed through the ring and left. On the other side, Mo Bei was about to thank the girl when he only saw the petals she had left behind scattered on the ground.
