I'll let you in on a little secret: it's already 10 PM, which is Mo Bei's bedtime. I know this sounds disgusting, but please consider it for Mo Bei's health; after all, children need plenty of sleep.
Mo Bei lay on the large bed, with Mo Yun sleeping beside him. Mo Bei, lying on his side, glanced at his younger sister, gently pulled the blanket up a little, and then looked at the moon outside the window—what a sweet little boy!
The moonlight was gradually replaced by sunlight, shining on the blankets that Mo Bei had rolled away. If it weren't for the whole-house temperature control system, Mo Yun would most likely have caught a cold.
The two children got up at 8:30 to go to kindergarten and arrived in the classroom before 9:00. Yesterday's trial period ended, and no children were rejected.
"Alright, kids, you all did very well yesterday. Let's arrange the seating today. You can choose yourselves first, and I'll make some adjustments later," the teacher said from the stage. Mo Bei was the first to choose, selecting a table in group three. Many people wanted to sit with him, but he refused. When Chen Wenwu chose his seat, Mo Bei invited him to sit next to him. Those who had asked, "Can I sit here?" had to sit elsewhere and watch Chen Wenwu sit down. This was because the child who had asked about Mo Bei's family had spread rumors that Mo Bei's family was very wealthy, and many young masters wanted to compete with him. Actually, the wealthiest person was someone else entirely—… Mo Yun, who also shared the surname Mo (I wondered who it was, but it turned out to be the pampered Mo Yun)!
Mo Bei and Chen Wenwu were discussing the other people: the girl who was close to Mo Yun was sitting at table three, table four, and Qi Lin was sitting at Qing Bei's table.
After everyone had chosen their seats, the teacher announced that this class would be an art class and gave each student a piece of paper and a box of crayons.
Mo Bei didn't know what to do after receiving the drawing, so the teacher on the stage gave instructions: "Children, pick up your crayons and draw what comes to mind on paper. For example, buildings, roads, clouds, rain, birds, fish, anything is fine. We'll judge the best drawing in 5 minutes."
Upon hearing this, Mo Bei picked up a crayon and transformed into Little Mo, doodling on the paper. Since it was truly an eyesore, let's look at the other children's work! Mo Yun's deskmate drew a starry sky, with a vine-covered potted plant on another table nearby, and a little boy made of iron blocks next to it. Qi Lin… what is he doing? Rather than telling the truth, he's just writing down a bunch of 0s and 1s. Chen Wenwu drew the classic sun, fish, beach, and stick figures. Mo Yun…? What? She actually drew her bedroom! Is this definitely not a printout? She secretly evolved without me! Mo Bei, look at other people's kids! Or maybe look at your own! This is the first time I've ever used "patches of blue and purple" to describe a drawing.
Five minutes later, the teacher said, "Children, it's time to put your drawings back up." Some stopped drawing, while others were still trying to get a chance.
The first image shown is of Qilin, a pillar composed of 0s and 1s, with a strong sense of space, quite impressive... wait, from a distance, it actually forms a computer! The children were amazed, and so was I.
The next painting was by Mo Yun, and it immediately drew gasps of amazement. Mo Yun, expressionless, buried her head halfway in a cushion.
After all the other children's drawings were displayed, only two remained in high demand. One depicted a computer with a male voice, while the other was Mo Yun's bedroom. Ultimately, however, Mo Yun's drawing won out. The little boy's appreciation for the computer's sleek design couldn't compare to Mo Yun's stunning beauty. This proves the saying: kids don't care about tangible achievements; beauty is the only true currency.
Next was a lesson on developing critical thinking skills. The teacher knew these children were special; they were either prodigies or protagonists, so she didn't put in much effort. What? You mean Chen Wenwu? He's definitely special!
The teacher was lecturing on stage: "1+1 is one apple, and together with another apple, it's 2." Mo Bei, overhearing this, muttered quietly, "That little white one is so clever!" The teacher called out, "Don't talk! The quietest child gets a little red flower." At this, the entire room fell silent. No matter the era, the little red flower is always a killer move.
Mo Bei listened quietly for 10 minutes of the lesson, then went to the movie-watching class.
Mo Bei doodled on paper while watching a movie, enjoying the thrill of having the world at his fingertips. Mo Yun's deskmate actively shared her opinions in class, which Mo Yun listened to with great interest. Several children tried to approach Mo Yun because of her cuteness, but left after finding her too boring; only her deskmate stayed with her.
The teacher, watching from the corner, opened her phone and sent a message to "Evil Old Lin": "Primary targets: Mo Yun, Qi Lin. Secondary targets: Mo Bei, Chen Wenwu, Xing..." A man beside her saw the message and smirked, "How come the entire main cast is in her hands?" That "Evil Old Lin" was none other than the dean, simply because she had scared her classmates when she was a child by cosplaying as a terrifying grandmother, and teachers were now on the list of those scared.
The teacher observed the end of get out of class. Mo Yun's deskmate said goodbye and went home, seemingly heading towards the suburbs. Mo Bei only put down his crayons after hearing the bell ring, said goodbye to Chen Wenwu, and led his younger sister to the teacher. The teacher seemed slightly surprised that the child had come to her, raising an eyebrow slightly: "What's wrong, little Mo Bei?" Mo Bei said, "Teacher, can I take these back with me?" He then held out his crayons and paper.
The teacher was delighted to see it: "Great! Take it home. Draw it however you like. If you need more, just ask the teacher." Hearing this, Mo Bei happily went home.
Mo Bei, leaning against the car window, saw Mo Bei skipping and hopping around. She automatically opened the car door and waited for him to get in before asking, "So happy today?" Mo Bei showed her other drawings: "I drew! My sister even got the best prize!" Mo Bei praised him, "Not bad, very childlike." Hearing this, Mo Bei lowered his head and continued drawing, continuing all the way, even while walking.
Mo Shi'ao was home today. As soon as Mo Bei entered the house, he greeted Mo Shi'ao briefly before rushing upstairs. Mo Bei ran to the sofa covered in graffiti and started painting, adding his bold strokes to the already colorful sofa.
A dark figure appeared behind Mo Bei, a hand resting on his shoulder.
