"Speak! Who sent you?" The man commanded in a threatening tone.

Ji Jun wasn't in a state to answer his question, however, being a King realm expert, he had to maintain his dignity.

He shot a glare of defiance as he spoke in a weak yet determined tone: "I'll never tell..."

Ji Jun knew he was going to die even if he did reveal his employer's name, hence there was no benefit in doing so.

"Big Brawder!" Yan Pingtu came running towards Ashen along with Yan Xiu. They had excited and bright eyes that reflected the joy they had upon seeing Ashen.

Feng Xue also breathed a sigh of relief and came over to Ashen's side.

"Feng Xue, What's going on here? Do you know who these men are?" Ashen asked with an oblivious expression.

Shaking her head in denial, Feng Xue answered: "No your Highness, I have no idea why they were after my life. They appeared out of nowhere and began attacking me and the tribe. They demanded my life in exchange for sparing everyone else."

Ashen nodded in understanding before shifting his gaze to Ji Jun.

His gaze turned cold as he waved his hand.

"AAAAAAAAaaaaaHH!" Ji Jun cried out in pain while grabbing his right leg.

His foot down his ankle had been severed cleanly as blood flowed out.

"Ah no! I made a mistake by slicing off that much part in one go!" Ashen gasped slightly, covering his mouth with his hand in an exaggerated act.

Slowly, his shocked expression twisted into an evil smile as he said in cold amusement: "I should've started by cutting off one finger at a time, that would've been more fun" He looked down at Ji Jun as he asked. "Don't you agree, friend?"

Ji Jun who witnessed Ashen's amused and evil smile couldn't help but roar internally:

Agree? I'd be a fool to agree!

What kind of twisted person are you to enjoy this?

"Sorry man, you're too late!" Ashen said. "I've already made up my mind to have fun with you!"

Ji Jun's eyes widened in horror as despair reflected in them.

He shook his head profusely, denying this treatment as he begged: "Please! I'll answer everything you ask. I just ask for a quick death in return!"

"This is not fair..." Ashen complained. "How can you just go back on your words like this? You said you'll never tell!"

"I was a fool!" Ji Jun yelled as tears began to stream down his face. "I didn't know who I was messing with. I was delusional to think I could endure any kind of torture. I now know how wonderful a quick death is!"

"Please!... I beg you... Spare me from the torture!" Ji Jun pleaded with joined hands. "There is no need to torture me when I'm already ready to spill everything!"

"But you attacked my lover..." Ashen spoke softly. "If I simply kill you, she might feel I didn't give her justice..."

Ji Jun glanced at Feng Xue and she was shocked right now as if this was already more than necessary, however, he needed to save his own life.

He crawled towards her, begging: "Goddess, I was just following my friend's orders. I didn't really want to kill anyone. I'm willing to die to repent, please forgive me..."

Feng Xue didn't know how to react. Someone was begging her to kill them instead of sparing their lives. This was the first time she saw something like this, however, Ashen's torture was too much for anyone.

She believed that this man shouldn't suffer that kind of fate if he was willing to tell his employer's name.

"Alright! I forgive you..."

She turned to Ashen and said: "Your Highness, I'm already grateful enough to you for saving me. I don't want you to dirty your hands for me!"

"Sigh... If that's your wish, then I'll spare him!" Ashen said in disappointment.

Ji Jun's eyes shined with joy and relief upon hearing that.

"Alright speak, who sent you?"
