Afterwards, they informed the Yan siblings about their plan to depart tomorrow.
"No brother Ashen, how can you leave this soon? Did you not like something that we did?" Yan Xiu asked innocently.
Ashen shook his head, replying sincerely: "It's not your fault. We are leaving because there is a grand event I have to attend in the capital."
"T-Then can't you take us with you?" Yan Pingtu asked in a hurried yet scared voice. "Take you with me? What about your parents?" Ashen asked jokingly.
"Some great parents they are... They escaped as soon as the attack happened without even bothering to see if we were okay!" Yan Li said annoyingly under his breath, clearly angry with his parents.
"I cannot take you with me. I'll be busy in the future and won't have time to take care of you. If I take you with me, you might even be in danger." Ashen explained in a helpless tone.

Well, clearly there is no benefit in taking them along, but if Feng Xue had grown attached to them, they should atleast help her.
