Chapter 518 Uh, You're Welcome?

Chapter 518 Uh, You're Welcome?

William had originally planned to work on Earth Spells for half an hour, but a last-minute decision led to more than an entire day passing. During that time, he modified hundreds of different Spells. From improving his preexisting defensive Spells to developing variations of offensive ones, nothing was left untouched.

His Mana Reserves filled up only six hours into testing his Earth Spells, so William spent three quarters of it on two more Greater Mana Veins that were located near his index finger and a third located in the center of his palm.

94 million Mana went into the process, but in the eighteen hours that passed since then, 73 million had already recovered. In a few more hours, his Mana Reserves would be full again, so William spent another 30 million to add the Mana Point on the back of his hand.

From two Greater Mana Points to six, William's strength had increased to incredible levels. It took several attempts to get used to the vast increase in power, but his control over the Earth Element was enough to handle the improvements for the time being.

Based on the feedback of several Spells, William guessed that he could completely refine his right hand before his control over the Earth Element would become unstable.

Hmm, I have four days left until I have to go back to school... William checked the time, noticing that it was the early morning of the 7th. He stored a few training dummies that he created based on the Five Elements Sect's training ground, then teleported to the First floor and started working through the System Quest.

The first four floors were easy, since they'd been cleared by others in the past. The System wasn't going to give him a hard time just because there was nothing weak to fight, simply checking each floor off as completed.

When he reached the Fifth floor, the Corpse Gatherer merely roared in his direction before a weakened version of the original Comet Pellet Spell sent its body parts flying in all directions. Barely one percent of William's strength was used in the attack, but the Boss was obliterated in the same manner that Third-Year Students would treat it.

The Sixth through Ninth floors were slightly more challenging, mostly because Gnarled Bark were highly resistant to the Earth Element. The best way to deal with them was through restrictive techniques, of which William had the perfect Spell.

Somehow, they had been surrounded by one of the slowest Magical Beasts in the Quake Dungeon, not to mention a ridiculously weak one for its Cultivation. A single Fire Mage without any special talents could probably take out one or two of these things on their own.

Is this really the level of First-Year students at the Filem Academy? I swear they seemed much stronger in the Dimension... William couldn't help but be disappointed at the group, especially considering his senses told him that Mikaela had the ability to damage him.

-They're still young and inexperienced, like you but worse. They also have their own inner circles to worry about. Social status, position in the Family, achievements and such.

William felt that the System's explanation made sense. Comparing their Mana to before and how much time has passed... I'd guess that they didn't rest once and used one flashy Spell after the other. I'm glad that I don't have to deal with inter-Family politics...

He sighed and conjured a dozen Starmetal Bullets that pierced through precise locations on the Gnarled Barks' vines, tearing them to shreds and giving the students some room to breathe. To clear out the Magical Beasts without hurting his classmates, William reduced the amount of gunpowder in each of his Starmetal Javelins and threw them only at the furthest creatures.

His efforts reduced the number of Gnarled Bark to three in a matter of seconds, which then became zero. In an instant, William's appearance alone had turned the situation around. The students who were just caught in an intense battle were caught off guard momentarily before they put away their weapons and sat down to rest.

"Uh, you're welcome?" William couldn't help but voice his thoughts. His words seemed to spur some of them into motion, the ones too tired to stand nodding in his direction.

Those who still had a small amount of energy left walked over to William and gave them a quick word of thanks, but he didn't receive much more than that. It seemed that Excellence rating wouldn't be enough to bridge the gap between their classes, nor did the Noble Prowess Talent guarantee unconditional loyalty and respect.

Yuhe in particular didn't even look at him. Not that he cared. Discover stories with empire
