Chapter 3956 MU Superbody Major Event (36)

Chapter 3956 MU: The Superbody Incident (Thirty-Six)

“I can’t believe you took care of Kingpin like that,” the Punisher said, following Schiller. “But those Italians were definitely his toughest rivals in his rise. Kingpin won’t get a good night’s sleep until they’re all wiped out.”

"It's a pity that the puzzle guy got away. But it's fine, he'll die by my hand sooner or later..."

The Punisher walked to the car, opened the door, and saw a terrified look in the eyes of a scarred face in the back seat.

Puzzle was tied up and gagged, and was currently lying on the back seat of the car. He had been shot twice, once in the chest and once in the abdomen, but it seemed that the bleeding had been stopped and he was out of danger, though he was clearly traumatized.

Bruce, sitting in the passenger seat, leaned over, brandished the gun in his hand, and said, "Thank you for the gun."

“What did you do?” the Punisher asked, looking at him. Schiller had already gotten into the driver's seat.

"Like you said, aim, pull the trigger."

The Punisher gave him a deep look.

“Come to my base,” he said. “Your place is too small; I’m afraid you can’t fit another person in. I have some questions for him.”

Schiller turned the car around and drove in the direction the Punisher pointed, quickly arriving at an underground air-raid shelter. Once inside, the space was very spacious. Walking from the outer hall, one entered a hemispherical space filled with various workbenches and weapon racks.

“That’s awesome,” Bruce said as he watched.

The Punisher, carrying the puzzle pieces, turned to them and said, "Take whatever you want. I'll probably be spending the next night with this guy."

“Thank you for the base.” Schiller took the sniper rifle down and placed it on the workbench, clearly intending to make some adjustments. Meanwhile, the Punisher took the puzzle pieces to another room at the back, where low, agonizing screams soon followed.

Bruce glanced back at the spot and then asked, "What grudge do they have?"

“Jigsaw killed his wife and children,” Schiller said, adjusting the parts of his sniper rifle. “But that guy was just an assassin; there’s someone else behind it all. He probably wants to find out who’s behind it all.”

Bruce sighed and said, "What about Ultron? Any new developments regarding him?"

"Do you remember Simon Williams?"

"You mean that unfortunate guy who got captured and used for experiments?"

“He’s not a loser; he has a name in other universes,” Schiller said after a pause in his finger. “Normally, they call him Wonder Man.”

"He's a superhero? Then how did he get arrested and imprisoned?"

"Without Ultron, he would indeed be a superhero, or even one of the creators of Vision. But because events in the multiverse have interfered with the progress of this universe, I'm not sure if Simon is still alive."

Bruce understood his implication and said, "You mean, without Ultron, Simon would have become the Miracle Man through this event?"

"Yes. Most of the wonders of the universe are born this way. Simon Williams was released from prison by Hydra and became one of their experiments. He eventually lost his body in a less-than-successful transformation and became an ion life form."

"And now this body has been taken by Ultron."

"Yes, the current Ultron is a combination of Ultron and Miracle Man. And it seems that Miracle Man Simon's consciousness may no longer exist, leaving only Ultron. But to find out the specifics, we probably have to go to the lab to find out."

After a night's rest, Schiller learned of Kingpin's latest movements through the morning news broadcast on the Punisher base's tape recorder. He had sent men to attack the Manfred district, and a large-scale shootout had broken out on Long Island, with hundreds of police cars and helicopters surrounding the area.

Schiller checked Google Maps and found that Kingpin's Enclosure was just the Manfred family's residence, far from Norton's laboratory, which meant their opportunity had arrived.

Schiller immediately grabbed his equipment and shouted toward the other door, "Punisher, get ready to go."

When the Punisher emerged from the door, he reeked of blood, but Schiller and Bruce didn't even glance at him. It wasn't until the three of them were in the car that Schiller asked, "Any results?"

"No, the real mastermind is very cunning and has never shown himself in front of that fool. It seems we'll have to put in a little more effort."

Schiller didn't ask any further questions and fell silent. The Punisher, however, suddenly spoke up: "Don't you think I'm cruel?"

“I’m not a superhero,” Schiller said. “If I’m advising you against torture, it’s only because you won’t get what you want out of it.”

"But you didn't advise me that way."

“Because I don’t know about the feud between you,” Schiller said. “I don’t know what you want to ask, or whether he has the answer you’re looking for, so there’s no reason for me to stop you.”

“It sounds even more ruthless than me,” the Punisher said. “What I did to him is nothing compared to what he did to me.”

“Then I have many reasons to dissuade you,” Bruce said. “First of all, the smell of blood on you indicates that you have caused him many open wounds and caused him to bleed a lot. This could cause him to lose too much blood, go into shock, or even die.”

"Although I avoided vital organs with the two shots I fired at him yesterday, the bullets were never removed from his body. This could lead to a very serious infection, causing his body temperature to rise sharply and potentially causing him to die from the high fever caused by the infection."

"If you think he still has some valuable information in his head, you'd better treat his wounds before leaving, otherwise he might be dead by the time we get back."

The Punisher shook his head and said, "He's not a determined person. I haven't even done anything to him yet, and he's already told me everything he knows. So it doesn't matter whether he lives or dies."

Then the Punisher looked at Bruce and said, "You sound like you have a professional medical background."

"I'm not a professional, I'm just self-taught." Bruce turned his head back.

The car quickly arrived on Long Island. Traffic was congested due to the large-scale blockade and searches. Fortunately, Norton Laboratory Science was located on the edge of Long Island, a remote area with little police presence, making it a good place to conduct illegal experiments.

Schiller parked the car in front of a low, white building. The sign on the gate had clearly been recently changed, indicating that the place had recently changed owners.

The Punisher watched as Schiller drove the car toward the gate. He wanted to stop him, but he had already realized that this strange killer wasn't the violent type. He preferred to solve problems non-violently and only ever fired the decisive shot.

The car pulled up at the gate, and Schiller pulled out an ID from his pocket and handed it over. The guard's eyes widened in surprise the moment he saw the ID. He touched the stamped seal, and after confirming it was perfectly legitimate, said, "Excuse me, Detective, what brings you here?"

"Of course it's an investigation. Someone reported that you're conducting illegal experiments here, so I was sent here to investigate. If you don't believe me, just call and ask. Don't keep me waiting too long."

The security guard quickly called the building manager, his voice trembling with nervousness. He said, "FBI, the documents are fine, should we let him in?"

The barrier blocking the doorway quickly rose. As soon as they were out of the guard's sight, the Punisher asked, "ID? You killed a policeman?"

“That security guard is a veteran; he can’t hide a changed name and photo.” Schiller put the documents back in his pocket, drove the car to the parking lot, and got out.

He walked quickly toward the building and bumped into a middle-aged man in a suit who was leading a group of people out in a hurry.

Schiller walked up to them without hesitation, flashing his badge: "FBI, Agent Rodriguez."

"Hello, I'm Frio, the manager of the Norton Experimental Science Project. Do you have a search warrant?"

“No, I’m not here to search today, otherwise I wouldn’t have only brought two people.” Schiller rolled his eyes impatiently and said, “Let’s go to your office and talk in detail.”

Frio led Schiller to his office. Schiller sighed and said, "Where's Zemo? Have him come see me."

Frio was visibly taken aback. Schiller, as if he couldn't take it anymore, raised his voice and said to him, "Bring Baron Zemo to see me! He made this mess himself, and I'm here to clean it up, and he's trying to avoid me?! To hell with him!"

Frio immediately realized what was happening. He quickly picked up the phone next to him and said a few words. Soon, footsteps sounded outside the door, and a man wearing a black and red striped hood walked in. Because his face couldn't be seen, Schiller didn't know whether it was the first or second generation, nor did he care.

He simply slammed his identification on the table and said, "What the hell are you doing? The FBI has tracked you down, and you didn't know a thing?!"

His preemptive remark stunned Baron Zemo. He looked Schiller up and down, realizing he didn't recognize him, but the man had called him by name immediately, proving he knew the project was his property, and had even produced an FBI badge, and the doorman said he was a high-ranking FBI agent—who was this guy?

"What the hell are you doing, Heinrich Zemo!" Schiller practically cursed, saying, "When I left Germany, I told you to stay out of my way!"

Upon hearing the name "Heinrich," Baron Zemo seemed to finally realize what was happening. He said, "You're old Zemo's friend?"

“Old Zemo?” Schiller paused for a moment and said, “You’re not him? Then what are you to him? Son or nephew? Never mind, whatever. I’m here to tell you that you’re being watched.”

"I do not understand what you are saying."

“You’re not nearly as shrewd as old Zemo,” Schiller scoffed. “If you don’t understand, then I’ll tell you. They know what you did using Norton Experimental Science. Do I need to be more specific? The Long Island blackout was really caused by the Electro-Man?”

Baron Zemo's eyebrows furrowed. Schiller stepped forward and looked at him, saying, "Was Doctor Strange really behind Dr. Pym's disappearance?"

Baron Zemo was clearly flustered. He took a half step back and said, "How could you know?! No, they couldn't possibly have found out. Aren't the FBI a bunch of useless people who only know how to eat donuts and drink coffee?!"

“Very well, then you can wait until they come to arrest you and then explain to Donut.” Schiller grabbed the documents from the table and turned to leave.

“Wait!” Baron Zemo called out to him. “Now that you’re here, we can cooperate, just like you and my father did. Tell me who found out all this, and when they’ll come looking for me.”

Schiller turned to look at him and said, "So you're still worried about the FBI? You damn idiot! You think the Avengers will let this go? They're about to find us here!"

The words had barely left his mouth when the roar of a mech engine echoed from above the laboratory. Baron Zemo looked up in alarm: "Iron Man!"

Schiller silently turned off his phone screen. The Punisher saw that before the screen went black, a message was sent to a contact named "Spider-Man".
