Chapter 4206 A Guide to Wandering the Galaxy (Part Thirteen)

Schiller took the coffee from the waiter and placed one in front of Pamela. Pamela seemed to be in a good mood, smiling and nodding at him. Of course, it was also possible that she knew greed was good at making money, and she was always short of cash.

"What do you want from me this time?" Pamela asked.

"We are developing the Milky Way and now we want to sell some Earth specialties on other planets. After searching around, we found that Earth's vegetables and fruits are the rarest. So now we have two options: either grow and cultivate them on other planets, or find a way to transport what we grow on Earth to them."

"The fact that you came to me instead of Victor means you prefer the first option, right?"

"That's right. To be honest, Earth doesn't have enough spaceships, and the portal's capacity is probably insufficient as well. So it's best to skip the transportation process altogether. Do you have any thoughts?"

“Plants can grow anywhere; the only difference is the form in which they exist. Even in the most barren and desolate places, the seeds of life lie hidden. Besides, you can already conduct interstellar colonization; building a greenhouse on an alien planet wouldn't be difficult, would it?”

"Yes, it's not difficult to get plants to grow, but we want their fruits to retain the original flavor of the earth, especially delicious tropical fruits, preferably as delicious and juicy as the earth itself. Only in this way can we satisfy the picky tastes of those politicians."

Pamela hesitated for a moment before saying, "In that case, it is indeed quite difficult. After all, it's very difficult to simulate a tropical environment in a greenhouse. And because the output of the natural environment is already sufficient to meet human needs, very few people conduct research in this area. I haven't tried it myself either, so we'll probably have to go to the site to see for ourselves how it goes."

"Okay, I'll be honest with you. It doesn't have to be exactly the same as Earth, but it has to be delicious enough. In the future, this place may be the most populated place in the entire universe. Wealthy people and travelers from all over the universe will come here to visit. After tasting all kinds of food in the universe, they will need some specialties to enhance their evaluation of Earth's food culture."

“You’ve really found me a good job.” Pamela said, rubbing her forehead with a headache. “Brainiac makes me study enlarged plants every day, and you’ve actually made me grow tropical fruits on an alien planet. Especially since you don’t have the Green of All Things here, I can’t use my abilities, so I can only start from the genetic level.”

“I’ll give you a price that will satisfy you,” Schiller said, placing his hands on the table. “As long as there are results, I can charge by the hour. Now, shall we go take a look at Centaurus?”

“Okay,” Pamela nodded and said, “but don’t get your hopes up too high. If it doesn’t work out, don’t let it ruin your big plans.”

"Just do your best, ma'am."

Pamela set off for Alpha Centauri, but Schiller did not follow. He still had matters to attend to on Earth: keeping an eye on the situation of the Galactic Explorers.

Back in his office, he opened the chat group and found it already had thousands of messages. Too lazy to scroll through them all, he simply sent a message: "How are you guys doing?"

The group chat exploded again, messages flooding the screen at breakneck speed. Schiller glanced at it and knew that it wasn't exactly peaceful; it was more like a cataclysmic start.

"I don't know, I think I've gone the wrong way. The navigation didn't mention there's a black hole here. I've activated the spaceship's autopilot, I don't know if I can get out."

"I broke the spaceship's control stick. I swear I didn't do it on purpose. I didn't expect it to be so brittle. I didn't even use a fraction of my strength. Luckily, I had a broom with me, so I tied the handle to it and it ran smoothly."

"We've flown several light-years away before we realized we didn't bring spacesuits. The life support collar is just what we need, but I'm feeling a bit cold. But since we're so far away, we'll just leave it at that."

"We've discovered a super beautiful galaxy, I'll send you pictures. Although this isn't our destination, we plan to stay here for a while."

"We landed on a planet, but this damn planet is infested with bugs. Something that looks like a giant crab smashed the windows of our spaceship, and we're looking for materials to repair it."

"You're doing pretty well. We didn't adjust our angle properly when we landed and plunged straight into the swamp. We were just about to tow the spaceship away."

"We found a puppy with two heads on a planet. Can't I really take one back with me?"

"Oh, damn it, someone got bitten! Does anyone know where the ship's first-aid kit is?"

With a snap, Schiller turned off his phone. He should have used Stark's drone program; letting those guys out was nothing short of wreaking havoc on the galaxy.

However, this also has its advantages. Whoever tries to cause trouble in the Milky Way will likely be unable to succeed.

In the constellation Scorpius, near the center of the Milky Way, surrounded by numerous stars, a small spaceship gradually came to a stop. A tall Arkham Knight emerged from the somewhat cramped internal hatch and said, "We've received their signal; they're near Antares. Let's go."

Sitting in the pilot's seat, Polaris complained slightly, "I don't know what they were thinking. They managed to land in a swamp. And they didn't even bring Spider-Man with them. If there had been a Spider-Man, he could have pulled the spaceship out by himself."

Miles, who was behind him, was eating a wafer, crunching away as he said, "Are you from the next world?"

“Yes, it was Dick who messaged me.” The Arkham Knight also came over and sat down. “That planet is located between the gravitational fields of two stars, and its orbit is very strange. The automatic landing system didn’t work, so they tried to land manually. But their skills weren’t up to par, and they crashed headfirst. Luckily, the spaceship was of good quality and didn’t disintegrate in mid-air. And thankfully, it fell into a swamp; otherwise, they would have been smashed to pieces.”

As they spoke, they had already flown to the accident site. After taking a look around, Polaris said, "What a hellish place. Why did they have to come to this planet? The magnetic field here is as chaotic as my hair on Saturday morning."

Miles glanced at Polaris's hair. Polaris's hair wasn't in great condition; it was a bit frizzy from years of perming and dyeing. You could easily imagine what her hair looked like when she woke up around noon.

Despite saying this, they still moved closer. The Arkham Knight said over the channel, "We've arrived. Activate the ship's signal transmitter so we can..."

"No need, I've already found it," Polaris said. "It's flying in that direction and will enter the atmosphere soon."

"Okay, wait a moment, we'll be right there. Dick... Dick???"

“Wait a minute,” Polaris suddenly said, “there seems to be something else on this planet.”

Peter, sitting in the passenger seat, stared at the radar screen and said, "Abnormal electronic signals, looks like some kind of electronic device."

"Could it be that the spaceship's communication equipment is broken?" Arkham Knight leaned over to take a look and said, "Dick and the others aren't responding either; there might be signal interference."

“It’s not very clear at the moment,” Peter said, staring at the radar image. “This is a commercial version of the spacecraft, and the scan isn’t detailed enough. Right now, we can only see that there’s a problem with the signal. We’ll probably have to wait until we land to check the specifics.”

The Arkham Knight looked at Polaris again. Polaris frowned slightly, but didn't say anything, simply controlling the ship to descend.

drip-drip-drip-

The spaceship suddenly started sounding alarms. Peter jerked the control stick and shouted, "Autopilot system is experiencing signal interference, switch to manual control mode..."

"What the hell are you doing?!" Polaris roared, unleashing full magnetic field power. The spaceship immediately abandoned landing mode and shot towards the source of the signal interference like a bullet.

With a whoosh, the spaceship arrived above a swamp. As the clouds dispersed, Miles peered down through the spaceship's window and saw several small figures, but they were clearly not human.

"There is an enemy!!"

Sizzle—!!!

A blinding electromagnetic beam shot directly at the cockpit. Polaris cursed, and the electromagnetic shield flashed. The Arkham Knight drew his sidearm, while Peter had already climbed out through the hatch above him.

With a whoosh, three strands of spider silk shot out, and he grabbed one end and pulled hard. Polaris activated the spaceship, and the figures below were pulled into the air.

The spaceship's speed fluctuated, leaving them dizzy and disoriented. Miles climbed out of the hatch and, using Peter's web, reached the top of the group's heads. He called out to the spaceship, "Jason!"

With a bang, the spider silk was severed. Miles did a somersault in the air, kicking one of the figures, then followed with a spinning kick that knocked away another's gun, and finally slammed down, slamming all three into the ground.

The spaceship landed slowly not far away, raising a cloud of dust. The other three emerged from the dust. When Miles stood up, he was holding an arm that looked very much like a human arm, but there was no blood flowing from the severed area; it was just crackling with electricity.

"Robots?" The Arkham Knight stepped forward and examined the group of creatures that were clearly destroyed. These people looked very much like carbon-based life forms; if you only looked at their appearance, you couldn't tell they were robots at all. However, their internal mechanical structures remained unchanged, though they were now charred black.

Miles smashed a large crater in the ground, and three androids lay inside. Polaris suddenly turned around, looked in one direction, and said, "There are unusual electrical signal fluctuations over there."

The group rushed over and found a strange device on the ground. Polaris placed his hand on it, a knowing look on his face, and said, "This is an EMP transmitter."

"EMP?"

"That's right. It's been continuously interfering with the electromagnetic spectrum on this planet, attacking any electronic devices that enter. That's why our autopilot system suddenly failed. I suspect that the spaceship that crashed into the swamp earlier probably did the same thing."

At this point, their expressions turned grave. If the spaceship accident wasn't an accident, that person might also be in danger. Polaris held his breath and pointed in a certain direction: "Over there."

This time, however, they didn't choose to run or fly there. Instead, Polaris opened a miniature wormhole, and the group was teleported directly to the destination. There, they saw the three people sitting on a rock, looking around.

“Hey, you guys are here!” Dick waved to them and said, “The signal is a bit bad here. We can hear you, but we can’t send messages. We were worried you wouldn’t be able to find us.”

The Arkham Knight asked with some surprise, "You weren't attacked?"

"Attack? Who attacked us?" Dick asked, somewhat puzzled. "There's no one else on this planet, is there?"

"You didn't encounter those robots?"

"robot???"
