Chapter 109 Extra Chapter: A Very Demonic Christmas (R-18)
the cozy glow of a crackling fire filled the grand hall. garlands of shimmering violet and silver adorned the high, arched windows, while a towering evergreen tree glowing with enchanted ornaments stood proudly at the center. the scent of spiced cider and roasted meats wafted through the air, blending with the faint hum of magical wards that kept the snowstorm outside at bay.
standing near the fireplace, liria silverthorn now a vision of poise and power adjusted the cuffs of her midnight-black coat. her signature two-toned hair was now longer, streaks of fiery red laced through the silver side. her mismatched eyes, more piercing than ever, scanned the room with the sharpness of someone used to commanding attention. she carried herself with the confidence of someone who had faced countless battles and won.
beside her, enara valthorne lounged on a plush velvet chair, swirling a goblet of dark wine. time had only sharpened her already striking features. her raven-black hair now had streaks of deep indigo, and her eyes once cold and calculating now held a warmth reserved for the people she cherished. she still radiated the aura of a queen, though her smirk hinted at a mischievous streak that hadn't dulled with age.
the peaceful atmosphere shattered as a blur of motion darted past them, shrieking with laughter.
"stop running, riven!" liria called, though her voice lacked any real anger.
"never!"
the small boy no more than seven had liria's heterochromatic eyes and enara's raven-black hair, though it shone with a silver sheen under the firelight. he clutched a wooden sword far too big for him, charging toward the tree with all the enthusiasm of someone who believed himself invincible.
"careful with the ornaments!" enara warned, though her smirk betrayed her amusement.
"you let him do this," liria muttered, crossing her arms.
"i let him live his best life," enara countered, raising her goblet in mock salute. "there's a difference."
"sure, and when he breaks something—"
the conversation was interrupted by a thunderous thud as a massive, spiky figure entered the room. ananara, now towering at eight feet tall, his golden crown polished and gleaming, carried an enormous sack slung over one shoulder. his once-snarky pineapple expression had evolved into something even more regal and, somehow, more condescending.
"you mortals are hopeless," ananara declared, his deep voice vibrating through the hall. "your child is dismantling centuries of tradition as we speak."
"i'm right here!" riven shouted, puffing out his chest. "and i'm not scared of you, ananara!"
the massive pineapple narrowed his glowing green eyes, leaning down until he was face-to-face with the boy. "oh, really?" he drawled. "shall we test that theory?"
"don't scare him!" liria barked, stepping between them.
"please," enara added, taking a sip of her wine. "the last thing we need is him thinking he's invincible because he scared off a glorified fruit."
ananara let out an affronted gasp. "a glorified fruit?! i am a god among familiars!"
"sure you are," liria said, rolling her eyes. "now put the sack down. it's christmas, not your chance to gloat."
ananara muttered something about ungrateful mortals but complied, placing the sack beside the tree with surprising gentleness.
riven immediately darted forward, his small hands diving into the sack before liria could stop him.
"patience, riven!" enara called, though she made no move to stop him. "you'll ruin the fun."
"too late," liria grumbled, watching as the boy pulled out a wrapped package.
as riven ripped through the paper with gleeful abandon, a small, enchanted sword emerged, glowing faintly with a soft blue light.
"care to explain why our child has a weapon for christmas?" liria asked, turning to enara with a raised brow.
"it's practical," enara said with a shrug. "he's seven. he needs to start somewhere."
"start what, exactly? world domination?"
"don't give him ideas," ananara muttered, settling into a corner.
"mom!" riven interrupted, running up to enara and holding the sword aloft. "look! it's amazing!"
enara groaned and pushed liria's head away. "you're going to make me come again if you keep that up."
"isn't that the point?" liria looked up with raised eyebrows.
enara shook her head, her cheeks flushing. "not right now."
liria pouted, sitting back on her heels. "spoilsport."
enara pulled liria down to kiss her again. liria could taste enara's wetness on her lips. she grinned. it was going to be a good night.
she pulled back, smirking. "alright then. your turn." she laid on her back on the soft velvet carpet.
enara crawled over her, settling between liria's legs. she reached down to undo liria's trousers, pulling them off along with liria's underwear.
"your present is impressive," enara said, reaching down to palm liria through the silk of her corset.
liria moaned, arching up into the touch. she had spent hours getting herself ready for the night. and that was before she'd had to deal with ananara's tantrum about being included in the festivities. "thank you."
enara didn't say anything else, just leaned down to lick and suck her way up liria's thighs.
liria shivered, her muscles tensing under the touch. she could already feel her orgasm building. she was so hot she'd barely need enara to touch her to get her off.
enara didn't give her a chance to cum though. she paused to pull away, looking down at liria with a smirk.
"are you going to—"
enara cut her off by pushing a finger into her. liria cried out, her hips bucking up off the ground.
enara chuckled and added another finger, twisting them around.
liria's eyes fluttered closed as enara continued to fuck her with her fingers. it was such a good feeling to be filled up like that.
enara added a third finger, twisting her around.
liria let out a moan and her muscles started to clench down on enara's fingers, signaling her orgasm.
"god damn," enara muttered, looking between liria's spread legs. "i could look at you like this all day."
liria bit her lip, unable to keep from smiling at the praise. she loved hearing how good she made enara feel. it was one of the reasons she'd always stuck around, no matter what.
enara pulled her fingers out slowly, making liria gasp.
she started kissing and licking up liria's body, stopping when she reached liria's mouth.
"happy christmas," enara murmured between kisses.
"you too," liria said back, smiling.
they both knew that the best presents were the ones they'd just given each other. it was all either of them needed. they'd spent years figuring out what the other wanted. they'd spent even longer figuring out what they wanted in return.
in the end, they'd both come to the same conclusion.
liria wanted enara.
and enara wanted liria.
they'd both decided to stay in the relationship, despite all the other options. and they were still happy with that decision.
