Picking up the insect with shivering hands, she placed it at the entrance of her throat and gulped.

Ashen stood up and started to guide the insect with his qi inside her body, protecting it from any turbulent qi that could harm it.

Slowly, the insect went and attached itself to her brain through its long tentacle-like tail.

"What's wrong, Big sis?" Ashen asked, holding her by her shoulders.

Shaking her head softly, the princess answered: "Nothing, it was a small headache!"

"That... I cannot mention, however, I assure you that she is on our side now and we don't need to treat her as an enemy!"

"Sigh, alright, I'll allow it."

"Thank you, grandfather!" Ashen expressed his gratitude before taking his leave.

Taking long strides towards his room, he shortly returned. The woman was standing guard outside his door with her hand resting on her sword.

"Move aside, I need to enter" Ashen commanded.

The woman, though hesitated but gave way nonetheless.

Ashen quietly entered his room only to find the princess sleeping on his bed without a trace of concern for his guard on her face.

It appeared as if she fully trusted Ashen to keep his word.

"Hey, are you awake?" Ashen questioned, his gaze lingering on the princess's trembling eyelids. It was obvious she was just pretending to be asleep.

"Oh, It seems like not. Well then, I'll take my leave. If you wake up before your guard is executed, find me."

"Wait!!" The princess shouted in a hurry, getting up and chasing after Ashen who had already turned around to leave. "Tell me. Did you take back the complaint?"

Ashen nodded silently in response.

"Phuuu..." Letting out a sigh of relief, she moved closer to Ashen before lifting his chin with her index finger, speaking seductively: "Looks like my charm worked again, huh?"

Ashen, already frustrated after keeping himself in control all this time, slid his hand behind her waist and pulled her closer, making her flustered and surprised.

"W-What are you doing? Let me g—— Hmph!!"

He crashed his lips into hers, his tongue sweeping into her mouth, claiming her with a hunger that left her dizzy.

Her eyes were wide open, making her unable to understand what was happening as her mind went blank.

Her heart raced, her palms sweaty, and her breathing became unsteady. Her heart pounding in her chest violently, sending vibrations throughout her body.

Her hands flew to his chest to steady herself and at this moment, she managed to gather herself together as she pushed him away, breaking the kiss.
